Lucian Bezuidenhout, PhD in physics, is a member of the uMOVE Core Facility and is working with objective measurements in physiotherapy. Together with Wim Grooten, associate professor, we talk about a novel brain imaging technique, functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), method development for new objective markers for physical activity (i.e. combining accelerometers, GPS and GIS measurements) and the use of accelerometry in rehabilitation.
