For the morning message Dr.McIntyre preached from the Sermon on the Mount and the principles learned there that differentiates between the ordinary life and the Christian life. Jesus desires the best for those who follow Him and gives different principles by which we are to live life.

This Sunday morning service at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee was blessed with the beautiful traditional hymns of the faith as the congregation sang "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus," "Ye Servants of God," Blessed Redeemer," and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. A Men's Quartet sang "Wounded for Me." Once again Harry Hampsher graced the congregation in song with "I Wonder if I've Done My Best for Jesus When He Has Done so Much for Me."  

This Sunday morning service at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee centered around the theme of the love of God. Dr. McIntyre indicated that there are many expressions of God's love that are made known to us, but there are thousands of other evidences of His love that we often take for granted and thus there is little thanking Him for them.

The message was preceded by a ladies duet singing "God is Love" and Harry Hampsher singing "The Love of God." You will also enjoy a five minute organ prelude followed by congregational singing of "Higher Ground", "Holy, Holy, Holy", "At the Cross" and "Near to the Heart of God". Mark McCroney, Sunday School Director, gave the morning Bible Study report announcing 878 in attendance and the upcoming revival with Jim McCloskey was announced. The morning message was preceded by a responsive reading led by Pastor McIntyre.

Dr. McIntyre preached on why faith is so important in marriage - faith in each other, faith in self, and faith in God to feed and grow and sustain. Faith is vitally important in making a home work.

The entire evening service is given including a skit telling about the youth week activities coming up. The message was preceded by a solo by Harry Hampsher.

Today’s message was preached on Sunday morning March 10, 1974. It is the third part of a four part series, entitled “The Home.” Part two is not available. Dr. McIntyre’s sermon for this message comes from Matthew 19:2-9. Brother McIntyre talked on God's plan for marriage, the institution started by God.

It was Youth Week at Brainerd Baptist Church which included a kite flying derby the next Saturday. The congregation was invited to an organ recital that Sunday afternoon featuring Robert McDonald. 

The congregational singing that morning included "All the Way My Savior Leads Me", "O Worship the King", "Great Redeemer We Adore Thee", Pure in Heart O God", and "Take My Life and Let It Be Consecrated Lord to Thee". The choir selection was "I Will Sing of My Redeemer". The special music that Sunday morning consisted of four verses of "Amazing Grace". The first verse was for men only. The second verse was for the ladies only. The third verse was the organ only and the fourth verse was for all.    

This is the first of four messages preached by Ralph McIntyre at Brainerd Baptist Church on The Home. This message dealt with the institution of marriage as set forth in God's Word. Unfortunately message number two is not available but messages three and four will be upcoming. 

The service is preceded by a beautiful six minute organ prelude.

The announcements included a welcome home to serviceman David Parker who had been serving in Thailand. This was missions week at Brainerd with a special upcoming WMU program and a Home Missions Banquet scheduled for Wednesday evening. Looking ahead it was announced there would be an organ recital on March 10th with Robert McDonald. The congregation then sang "Jesus Shall Reign", "Like a River Glorious" and "He Leadeth Me". The special music included three choir selections and Harry Hampsher singing "God Give Us Christian Homes". 

For this message Dr. McIntyre preached that we as Christians are trophies of His grace and so we must all to Him surrender. As the people of Israel proclaimed, "all the Lord has spoken we will do," so should we today do the same with all our heart.

The service commenced with the singing of "O How Glorious". Upcoming church events presented during announcements included Tuesday WMU mission study and luncheon, an upcoming Deacon retreat, and Mission Week at Brainerd coming in March.

Today's service culminated February's Stewardship Challenge. Mr. Clifton Ward, Chairman of the Budget Planning and Promotions Committee introduced this week's tithing testimony.

Special music for the day included a Men's Group singing "Lead Me to Calvary", the choir presenting a stirring rendition of the "Church's One Foundation", a Bell Choir selection and solo by Harry Hampsher.

Dr. McIntyre gave special recognition to Harry Hampsher and all those involved in the music ministry of Brainerd.

In this message Dr. McIntyre gives a background to the Book of Acts and the beginning of the spread of the Good News. He challenged the congregation by asking, "What are you ready to begin to do?"

The service began with the congregation singing "Redeemed".

A glimpse at church life in 1974 is revealed in the announcements. There were a total of 842 in attendance in Sunday School that Sunday. The church family was encouraged to see the WMU display. The ladies of the church were invited to a Friendship Coffee the following Tuesday. There would be two Valentine banquets on the upcoming Friday night with one for adults and one for the youth. The upcoming Bible Conference was detailed. This was Scout Day at Brainerd and there were 10 Eagle Scouts in attendance who were recognized.

The special music this Sunday included two choir numbers, a female soloists singing"I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked", and Harry Hampsher sang "He Touched Me". 

Brother McIntyre gave a tithing challenge to the membership followed by a testimony from Mac McCauley the Brainered Sunday School Director, Deacon and an engineer with the TVA.

The invitational hymn was "Lord I'm Coming Home".

Today’s message by Dr. J. Ralph McIntyre from Romans 12 presents doctrine becoming practical. We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice. We have the privilege, the opportunity and the joy to present our bodies not as a sacirfice for dying but to present our bodies as a sacrifice for living.

The service was preceded by a four minute organ prelude with the congregation then singing "This Is My Father's World". The announcements for the day included a Sunday School attendance report, an invitation to the evening service for the ordination of Doug Miller, and an invitation to be present for the WMU meeting featuring W.T. Robertson, missionary to Vietnam as the special speaker. A ladies trio then blessed the congregation with the singing of "I Am Not Worthy" followed by the congregational singing of "All Creatures of Our God and King" and "I Will Sing of My Redeemer". Following a selection by the choir Dr. McIntyre gave the church family a stewardship challenge for the month of February. Dr. James Henry, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and superintendent of Chattanooga City Schools gave his testimony as to the value of tithing to the Lord's work. Following a solo selection by Harry Hampsher, Dr. McIntyre gave the morning message.     

In today’s message, Dr. McIntyre preaches on how there is nobody else in eternity like Jesus. He "by Himself" purged our sins. Jesus only, the only begotten Son.

Enjoy the entire service which includes a four minute organ prelude. The congregation sing "Jesus Saves", "Wherever He Leads" and "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms". This service also includes music by the Junior and Senior High Chorales. There were 360 in Church Training that evening. Just before the message a female soloist sang "Jesus is the Sweetest Name I Know".  

In this message, Dr. McIntyre preaches that as children of God there needs to be a sincere desire to know more and more of the Word of God and grow to be like Jesus.

Once again Harry Hampsher blesses the congregation in song with "Fill My Cup Lord" preceding the message and again as the invitational hymn. The special music also includes a female soloist and a male soloist with the choir. This recording includes the whole service with a Bible study report from the Sunday School Director and a host of announcements including a covered dish supper and visitation. The congregation takes part in the service with the singing of "Saved", "O Worship the King", "I Heard the Voice of Jesus  Say" and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee".
