In this week's episode, I examine a story sent in to me by a listener, about their UFO encounter in the Mohawk Valley of New York! After a summer backyard barbecue in Montgomery County, 6 witnesses see a large object hover over them as they sit around a firepit. The object was large, fairly quiet, and was ringed with red lights or thrusters. It hovered above the group for a few minutes before shooting off, silently, disappearing from view. Was it an extraterrestrial spacecraft? An experimental military aircraft? Listen to the stories of some of the witnesses, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
After attending the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY recently, I decided to take a look at Bigfoot sightings in the area. And there were some good ones! So this week I'm focusing on Bigfoot stories from the Hudson Valley - Orange, Putnam, and Rockland counties, all in the Hudson River Valley area. Wood knocks, screams, glowing red eyes, and actual sightings of the creature abound!
After my recent family vacation at a lake house in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, I decided to look into some UFO sightings in the area! Located in the Pocono Mountains, Tobyhanna is a small village with a number of lakes, including Carobeth Lake, where we stayed. There weren't many reported Bigfoot sightings near here, but I did find a number of reported UFO sightings!
This week, I'm taking a look at three enigmatic entities! Up first is the Grinning Man, a tall, thin man sporting a shiny green overall suit and a creepy smile, first spotted in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Is this the same entity known as Indrid Cold, the strange being that accompanied the Mothman sightings in Point Pleasant, West Virginia? Next, we examine the Mad Gasser of Mattoon, another tall, thin man, clad in all black, who sprayed sweet-smelling but paralyzing gas into the homes of the residents of Mattoon, Illinois in 1944. Was he just a crazed prankster, or an extraterrestrial visitor? Lastly comes the Enfield Horror, a three-legged abomination with small arms and large eyes that hops long distances. Were the people of Enfield, Illinois visited by a true monster? Or was it just an escaped kangaroo startling an already-frightened family? Let us know what you think of these entities in the comments below!
Does the elusive Sasquatch roam the woods of Western New York? This week I'm taking a look at Bigfoot sightings in Steuben County, in western New York state! This episode was inspired by the recent hike we did with Mammoth March at Letchworth State Park. And while I couldn't find any Bigfoot sightings in Letchworth, there were plenty in the surrounding areas in Steuben County!
This week I'm talking to Elsie Lodde and Amy Davis-Hallain about Gold Country Paracon, happening at the Historic Amador County Courthouse on September 13-15 in Jackson, California! Guest speakers will include author and parapsychologist Loyd Auerbach, Sarah Lemos, Daryl Marston of the Ghost Hunters TV show, Heidi Hollis, and more! There will be ghost hunts, UFO sky watching, presentations on Bigfoot, and much more. I also talk to Elsie and Amy about some of their ghost stories, different types of hauntings, cemeteries, why jails seem so haunted, and even ghosts at Gettysburg!
Does a half-man, half-goat terrorize teens in Maryland's lover's lanes? This week we're examining the legend of the Goatman, and similar urban legends! Pennsylvania has the Waterford Sheepman, a hairy humanoid with the head of a sheep. The Pope Lick Monster allegedly lives beneath a train trestle over Pope Lick Creek in Kentucky. The Proctor Valley Monster is a bovine creature similar to Bigfoot and the Goatman, but lurking on the outskirts of San Diego. Do you think Goatman is real? Or simply an urban legend?
Werewolf? There, wolf! John returns to the show this week as we discuss our favorite movies about werewolves! We touch on werewolf folklore and origins, how they relate to real-world cryptids like dogman, the Beast of Gevaudan, skinwalkers, the wendigo, and shapeshifters. Then we dive into movies like The Wolfman, The Howling, An American Werewolf in London, and many more lycanthrope flicks! What's your favorite werewolf movie?

Alligators in the sewers of Manhattan and bathtubs of Staten Island? An elephant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn? A monkey causing mayhem in Massachusetts? This week I'm looking at all manner of out-of-place animals, including snakes, kangaroos, cougar or puma, and more! Escapees from a zoo or circus? Exotic pets that got loose? Or is something more odd at play here? Let us know what you think in the comments?
In this week's episode, I take a look at Bigfoot sightings near Atlanta, Georgia! The counties of Cobb, Clayton, Fulton, and Gwinnett are near Atlanta, and have some sasquatch sightings of note. Howls and vocalizations, three-toed footprints, ape-like figures chasing children through the woods, and even a Bigfoot in the basement!
