A woman in India suffocated to death after she was buried alive in a pile of cow manure. The treatment was intended to cure a suspected king cobra bite.

I have to ask, why not just bury the area that’s infected, and not her entire body from head to toe?

We're in the news for episode 15 of NAPODPOMO 2019. This time, the South Dakota governor launched a new anti-drug campaign that reeeeeeallly needed to go through a proofreader beforehand.

The state of South Dakota launched a new ad campaign to raise awareness about the state's increasing meth problem. The problem is, the phrasing of the new slogan, "Meth: we're on it" can be easily misinterpreted. It doesn't help that the new ads have people saying "I'm on meth" rather than saying "we're on it."
The governor says that the point of the campaign is to raise awareness. And considering that the ads have gone viral, I'd say it's done it's job in that way.
After all, there's no such thing as bad press.

In part 10 of my NAPODPOMO journey I'm getting to my work trip to the Grand Canyon this past weekend. I had originally planned to talk more about the details of the trip, but I realized that nothing really happened. We went up for work. We visited the Grand Canyon as part of it. But I do really love the environment of Arizona. I can go on about that almost as much as I can talk about podcasting.
