  • Day 5 #NAPODPOMO 2018 Is Cursed
Day 5 of National Podcast Post month has me thinking the whole darn thing may be cursed. Much like the illness that quite literally plagued me last November, I am finding myself once again under fire from a sinus infection. Last year a sinus infection death spiraled into a series of illnesses that left me out of work for weeks and with 2 broken ribs.
Then again, this may just be a case of the seasons changing and allergies acting up... Naaaaa, I'm going with a curse.

  • Day 3 #NAPODPOMO 2018 Kids and PHX Pagan Pride
For Day 3 of NAPODPOMO I'm surrounded by my kids, because it's a Saturday and they don't want to leave me alone long enough to record this. Today we went to the Phoenix Pagan Pride Festival and got to see some pretty cool and fun things, as well as meet the hosts of the Millennial Pagan Podcast. I may get more in depth as to the full experience at the event later, if my wife decides to join me for tomorrow's show. But for now, it's back to work I go. Thank you and goodnight!

  • Day1 #NAPODPOMO 2018
November is National Podcast Post Month, which once again means that I'll be doing a new episode every day for the full 30 days. (Hopefully)
I'm thinking this time I may try to do something different. Send me topics, send me questions, I may even try having a guest or 2 throughout the month.

Drop your feedback in the comments, or send me a message with your questions. If you're interested, maybe we can work out a guest spot. 30 days is a lot of material to fill.

  • This Is Halloween: ODO 125
Happy Halloween everyone! This week I simply take a stroll through the headstones and talk about all of the things that get me in the mood for Halloween. From Music and movies to, of course, podcasts. I chat about the Netflix series "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and have the long awaited Recommended Listening feature of "Sirenicide."

    -Spooky Suggestions-
    "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"
To say the new version of "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" is dark is the understatement of the year. Instead of the happy zany adventures of a teen witch, this incarnation follows a much darker path through Sabrina's conflict over her mortal life and signing her soul to her Satanic coven. That's right, these witches are Satanists, no two ways about it. On top of that, there are multiple mentions of eating people in the series. So if you're the kind to be offended by that, this may not be the show for you. Then again, if you would be offended by that in a show, you probably weren't going to watch anything about a witch in the first placed. If you don't have a problem with that, then you should absolutely give "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" a binge this Halloween.

    -Sirenicide-
    http://sirenicide.com/

Sirenicide is a serialized horror drama based in the wicked world woven in and around Morston, Texas. The criminal factions and dark government agencies are just the start of the malevolence that roams the streets of this macabre city. The tales in Sirenicide tap into the fear and lore that envelope what most would consider to be fiction. The production plays host to a plethora of popular personalities from other nightmarish podcasts. The main cast of creepy, courageous, and curious characters evolve with the overarching story, but they also chronicle some amazing self-contained, standalone tales. The original music serves each episode’s atmosphere in a way that embraces and enhances each scene. So uncover the dark secrets, evil murders, supernatural experiences, and mysterious doctors awaiting in this modern epic.

  • Holiday Spending Season Is Coming: ODO 124
I realized, as I started recording, that Halloween is only a week away and I don't know what we are going to do this year. As I thought about that I started thinking about the holiday season and how Halloween kicks off the season of spending. Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas time, you just start purging cash at the end of October. I also reflect on how my general introversion makes me uncomfortable with holiday travel, and I have a callback to last week's psychological breakdown.

In Recommended Listening I've got a super short flash fiction podcast. I'm talking about that sci-fi/ horror drama, 600 Second Saga.

For the Jackass of the Week, I'm off to Spain for some unnecessarily expensive worms.

-Spanish Diners Spending Big Money For Rare Food That Doesn't Even Taste Good
    https://www.odditycentral.com/foods/angulas-an-ultra-expensive-food-that-doesnt-even-taste-good.html

Angulas, which in Spanish translates to "baby eels" are a super expensive and rare food in Spain. The thing is that even the people who eat them admit that they really don't taste very good. They are just limp slimy flavorless white worms. But these flavorless worms can cost over $500 per lb. Why eat them then? Because they are rare and expensive and it shows that you've got money to burn on stupid tasteless food.

  • Letting The Voices Out: ODO 123
To say this show is a little random would be an understatement. I go from talking about car issues and why I missed last week, to adventures in voice acting. I get a little psycho-analytical, and somewhere in there I crack open my brain a bit and the voices in my head start leaking through. Have I mentioned normal is not my specialty? In the news I've got Apple "fixing" an emoji, a bunch of jealous parents, and a wannabe Texas Chainsaw Massacre who's getting fitted for a peg leg.

    -BS From The News-

-Apple "Fixes" Bagel Emoji To Look Fresher, And Adds Cream Cheese
Because people have nothing better to do than to complain about the accuracy of emojis, Apple has released a new version of their bagel emoji with their latest update. Users complained that the previous version looked like a low quality, mass produced, grocery store variety bagel. The new version appears more like a hand made bagel with cream cheese.

-Chinese Man Gets "Social Boycot" For Driving His Son To School In A Ferrari
A father in China has been blacklisted by the parents at his son's school because he frequently drops his son off in his Ferrari 488 sports car. They even went to the extent of removing him from the parent's group chat. Many parents in the school feel that his display of wealth is going to have a negative effect on the rest of the children, and have told him not to bring the car to school. *I think they're just a bunch of jealous bitches.

    -Jackass Of The Week-

-Man Loses Leg To Lawn Mower After Attacking Son With Chainsaw
A 76 year old Tennessee man had to have his leg amputated after he attacked his son with a chainsaw while his son was mowing the lawn. The son then ran his father over with the lawnmower in self defense. *76 year old man running with a  chainsaw. What could possibly go wrong?

  • Never Too Tired To Talk Podcasting: ODO 122
Super short show this week. I've just got that weather change low energy vibe going right now. But that doesn't stop me from talking podcasting, and giving a quick "Cliff's Notes" of my livestream on International Podcast Day.
I also rant a bit about the recently announced cancellation of the bankruptcy auction for Toys R Us.
And I crown Lindsay Lohan the Jackass Of The Week over her attempted kidnapping of homeless refugee children in Russia on Instagram.

  • Tackling Food Trucks Pt 3: ODO 121
Another month, another trip to the food trucks. This time, we went in with a plan and had the best, most filling trip yet. Speaking of family fun time, monster number 3 got a little bit of social media traction over a video of him watching his favorite team on BattleBots. Plus, I've got a Jackass Bridezilla with a big price tag, and a little chat about International Podcast Day.

    -Don't Die Witch Doctor
Our Favorite thing to watch on TV as a family is BattleBots. Naturally we all have our favorites, but while watching a recent episode, my little Buggy got very emotional as his favorite bot was losing a battle.

    -Food Trucks
One of the things that we have begun doing recently as a family is going to a local food truck festival held every month at the baseball stadium. We have been to a few of these now, including one called "FoodStock" that had over 80 food trucks present. This month we went to the monthly "Sundays In The Park" featuring over 20 food trucks, and we had a plan. My wife researched every truck's menu and prices and put together an itinerary for our day at the park that lead to us having the best experience at a food truck festival so far. And we're already planning for next month.

Bride Freaks Out Because Friends Wont Pay $3 Thousand For Destination Wedding
    https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/bride-goes-tirade-learning-friends-wont-pay-3k-attend-destination-wedding-im-tempted-just-elope-162504134.html

Recently a woman went on a Facebook tirade after her friends refused to spend $3000 to attend her destination wedding in Thailand. After only 9 people RSVP'd to the wedding, she agreed to move the wedding to Hawaii for only $2000. After the move, only 7 people RSVP'd, resulting in her aforementioned rant. Besides her complaints about the paltry attendance, she also griped about the fact that only the cheapest items had been purchased. Our lovable "Bridezilla" actually gave her friends a 3 day ultimatum to respond to the invites or she would delete them from Facebook.
