  • ODO 110: Healthier Than I Thought
It's been a busy week at the newly dubbed ODO Voice Productions. Editing, meetings, and lots of forward momentum in business. Of course that doesn't mean that was all I had going on. It was a week, oddly, full of medical visits, but not in a bad way. In the news, it seems that everything revolves around death, if maybe only in the slightest way. Plus a couple of jackasses stopping traffic with their public "affection." And, I've got the results of my completely self serving twitter poll about what you like in the show.

    -BS From The News-

-Woman Asks Delivery Driver To Kill Spider
A woman in the UK was so terrified of a spider on her wall that she actually called to order from a food delivery service in order to have the driver kill it for her. Fortunately for her, the driver wasn't also afraid of spiders and was able to capture the spider and flush it down the toilet.

-Artist Gets Buried Alive For Three Days To Protest Violence
A 73 year-old Australian performance artist, recently spent 3 days buried under one of the busiest roads in Tasmania, to protest "20th-century totalitarian violence in all its forms." The stunt was done as part of the Tasmanian Dark Mofo Festival, and consisted of burying the man inside of a steel box under the road with no food for 3 days while the pavement on the surface was replaced to allow traffic to continue to flow.

-Nigerian Man Buried Inside $90,000 BMW
Recently photos of a funeral went viral when a Nigerian man buried his father in a brand new BMW X5 valued at $90,000. Many people online are quite upset that he would spend so much money on a luxury car to bury his dad rather than use it to help improve the lives of the people in the surrounding area.

-Ambulance Crashes While Responding To Crash
An ambulance in Sacramento crashed into another vehicle while responding to another 2 car crash. Strangely the victims of the original crash were uninjured, but the passengers of the vehicle in the ambulance crash had to be taken to the hospital for "pain."

    -Jackass Of The Week-

-Couple Having Sex Delays Oklahoma Traffic
Oklahoma City Police received calls claiming there was a man with his pants down laying on top of a woman under a tree right off the highway. When officers arrived on site, the couple were still going at it and only stopped when they noticed the police walking up. They were both booked for public drunkenness and indecent exposure.

  • ODO 109: Burgers, Salad, and Too Much Coco
Another week, another batch of weird news. From fake pet testicles to emoji fights, it's all over the place. This week IHOP painted a giant target on themselves with their name change, and, in Recommended Listening, I'm talking about what is probably the most ironic podcast I listen to, "Hate to Weight." Through it all, my boys are watching Disney's Coco for the 5... millionth... time.

    -BS From The News-

-Man Makes Millions Selling Fake Dog Testicles
One man has built his fortune on the idea that neutered pets should still look normal. Neuticles are silicone testicle implants for neutered animals who's owners wish for them to maintain their natural appearance.

-"Real Barbie of Berlin" Gets Third Boob Job To 80L Bra Size
A Berlin model, who is obsessed with plastic surgery, has gotten her breasts enlarged to a whopping 80L cup size. She now claims to have the largest breasts in Germany. It was actually a dream of hers for each of her breasts to weigh more than 2kg.

-Google Salad Emoji Update Has Egg Producers Upset
Google recently updated the design of it's "salad" emoji and removed the eggs from the image to make it more inclusive and vegan friendly. British egg producers have expressed disappointment in the change, claiming that Google shouldn't be pandering to a single group.

    -Jackass Of The Week-

    -IHOP is now IHOB
IHOP, The International House Of Pancakes, has announced that they are rebranding as IHOB, the International House Of Burgers. The stated intent of the change is to focus on and promote their lunch and dinner options more. They have said that pancakes will, naturally, still be on the menu. Of course, the other big restaurant chains had to take their jabs at the name change.

  • ODO 108: Kinder Grads, Car Trouble, and Conspiracies
So last week was super busy. Between Kindergarten graduation, my brother in town, and other family events, I just didn't have time to record a new episode. It was fun but busy. Aaannnd then Saturday night hit, and my weekend turned from great to crap on a dime. In the news I've got a 15 minute marriage, skipping work to be a god, and some very adult puppets getting in trouble with their friendlier cousins. The Jackass of the Week goes to a plastic surgeon who needs to spend some time behind bars instead of in front of a camera. Finally in Recommended Listening, it's time to get our conspiracy on with Hysteria 51.

    -BS From The News-

-Man Divorces Wife Less Than 15 Minutes After Wedding
A man in Dubai set the record for shortest marriage after he divorced his new bride in under 15 minutes. -Man Tells Bosses He Can't Come To Work Because He Is Too Busy Being a Reincarnated God
A man in India claims that he is unable to go to work because he is the 10th reincarnation of Vishnu, the Hindu god, and is too busy entering the fifth dimension and changing the public consciousness to go to the office. He has only been to work 16 times in 8 months.

-'Sesame Street' sues makers of raunchy puppet comedy 'The Happytime Murders'
The company that makes Sesame Street is suing the studio behind the recently unveiled "Happytime Murders" for making reference to the show in the recent trailer. In the trailer, the text on screen reads " No Sesame, All Street" which has Sesame Workshop more than a little upset with the idea of being incorrectly associated with an R-rated, violent, raunchy comedy.

-Man Acquitted of Sexual Assault After Showing Penis To Court
A man in Connecticut was acquitted of first degree sexual assault charges after showing his penis to the court to refute the victim's description of her attacker. Since the victim in the case had described the appearance of her attacker's penis in her deposition, the defendant's lawyers felt that the best way to prove his innocence was to show that he did not match that description.

-Father of Boy Rescued From Balcony Was Playing Pokémon Go
According to French officials, the father of the 4 year old boy rescued by a wall scaling Good Samaritan, was out grocery shopping and playing Pokemon Go. He is being charged with "failure to meet parental obligations," and the man who rescued his son is being placed on the fast track to french citizenship.

    -Jackass Of The Week-

-Surgeon Makes Promotional Rap Videos While Operating on Patients
A plastic surgeon in Atlanta is facing a wave of lawsuits after it became known that she would film rap videos during her surgeries and post them to YouTube. The Dr., who was not licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, would film herself rapping and dancing over her unconscious patients, sometimes while actually cutting in to them.

    Hysteria 51

Hysteria 51 is a weekly comedy “odd-cast” that takes an every-man approach to conspiracy theories, mysteries, the unusual, and the unexplained. Hosts John Goforth, Brent Hand, and Conspiracy Bot (a cranky robot bent on world domination who also happens to be the show’s head researcher) examine a different topic each week and generally come to one conclusion…the truth is out there, but you won’t find it here.

  • ODO 107: I Don't Need To Be Rich
The Livestream For The Cure is over and they managed to raise over $11,000 for the Cancer Research Institute. I've got a small sidebar about my son and coffee, and this week I came to realization that I don't really want to be rich. The news brings some questionable headlines, an irritable barber, and an absent-minded astronaut. At long last, the time has come for this week's Recommended Listening feature: Who's Right w/ Doug and Anthony.

  • ODO 106: Beers, Bears, Pizza, And Plumbing
Once again I do not have the Epic Film Guys on the show and it's totally my fault this time. My brain is all over the place this week. From Livestream For The Cure, to wanting to get into podcast editing and voiceover work, to home plumbing issues. It's been a busy week. I've got an SMF news break from Mike Jolitz, beer that's not beer, a pizza festival without pizza, a family dog that's not a dog and more. • ODO 104: Cancer Sucks Noodles
I’ve been in kind of a funk lately. Leading up to the Livestream For The Cure, a number of my friends, some of them involved in the event, have been slapped by the evil bastard that is cancer. So I talk about that for a bit. Short show this time around. I originally didn’t intend to release this episode but changed my mind. Not a lot of laughs. To lighten things up I continue with my coverage of LFTC guest with this week’s featured podcast, Who Spiked The Puns?

  • ODO 103: Total Chaos w/ Mike Jolitz
This week I am joined by my first ever remote guest, my Surprise Mfers brother, Mike Jolitz. Much less an interview and more just a couple buddies having a chat, we somehow cover all of the regular show segments. Of course, things get derailed far more easily than in regular episodes and there's way more toilet humor. We talk podcasting, news, comedy, kids, teachers, military experience, and more. Of course we get interrupted by kids, and dogs, and all other sorts of "Mr. Mom" type racket. And finally, we wrap up with one of Mike's favorite podcasts, Afterburn 739.

  • ODO 102: "Now That I'm Older" I Have Allergies
Spring has sprung, at least in Arizona, and I'm definitely feeling it. I can't really say the same for the rest of the country. The news has been pretty random this week. No real theme, just lots of oddity. I've got Tarantula burgers, bad jokes, and even a couple drug smugglers. And in "Recommended Listening" it's time to look back at our childhood with "Now That I'm Older."

    -BS From The News-

  • ODO 101: Old Reliable "Idiots"
We're back to "normal" this week. At least as normal as things really get around here. I've been spending a lot of time working on building the website and the patreon for the show. Of course that means I haven't been nearly as productive as I'd have liked to have been. But we did get a new Shark. That's exciting right? The news this week gets us back to those standard stories of drugs, bad judgement, and plain old stupidity. The "Jackass of The Week" puts a new twist on the old excuse, "it's not mine." Finally, in Recommended Listening, I'm getting back to guests from the Livestream For The Cure with another Phoenix based show: BSP: The Idio[t]Syncracy Files.

    -BS From The News-

Viral Condom Snorting Challenge Isn't Actually A Trend
The newest viral challenge trending from YouTube is neither new nor trending. It turns out that the "Condom Challenge" that has been making the rounds through news outlets recently, actually stems from a teachers' education course that used videos of teens snorting condoms through their noses, among other videos from several years ago, to show the dangers of dares in teen behavior. A local news station, that was at the event, falsely reported that the condom snorting challenge was the newest internet trend sweeping YouTube, even though the videos shown were from 2013.
