Star Wars was destroyed since it perpetuated individuality - They killed off the myth of the solo man taking on the establishment - a variation of "go woke, go broke." - they have to destroy the mythology to replace it.

Who is behind all of this? We've gone from individuals to being the Borg - is China behind all of this - is collectivism driven by China.

Why do the Swiss guard the Pope? Are the Rockefellers and Rothschilds are on the run? Deep State = CIA?

Do conspiracy theories require co-ordination? More like someone sets a strategy, then the rest are footsoldiers

Is China behind all of this - the collective vision - the mainstream media - never letting a crisis going to waste is where we are currently - China is commerce without free speech- which is why the progressives love China so much

We are paying for our own demise.

Why do they want total control of the world - what is the cost-benefit

Why do people love collectivism? Why are people so eager to give up their individuality?

Compromise vs Collaboration - we need to learn to understand the difference.

Enough with the low hanging fruit already!

If kids grades go up while they are at home, then homeschooling might take off - if they do better at home rather than at school

Kids who are homeschooled are socialized just fine

Certain professors were worried that the content of their lectures would get out to the rest of the world - what are they afraid of?

The Marxist orientation is what they are worried about - they don't want to deal with other theories

Will any school exist in brick and mortar in the next 10 years? If that cost is so low, why go in person?

We have been prizing face to face communications since we stood upright - but what if they are not necessarily the best

Face to Face communication is analog vs digital - there is an interaction difference - there are productivity gains in being remote

Relationship building is flawed in a remote model - but we are on video with our remote teams

Selfies are not their real-life self - they are their filtered selves - You could be whoever you want to be online.

Many people never understood that they could be anything that they wanted to be

Everyone knows you like your name - almost impossible to change your name after the fact - too many people just know you as that.

You are your online persona.

We talk porn star names.

Businesses will need to learn triage - they will need to look at their customers and focus on those good customers - those will be the hardest to get back in - which to establish first - daily regulars

How will small businesses solve coming back from the Coronavirus - they ill need to start from ground zero - we don't know who will be able to come back

Rebooting the economy - should we look at 9/11? Prior to 9/11, New York was not a friendly community, but it had changed. It was a totally different culture.

Will our culture change?

Small businesses will need to look at core customers first and determine wants vs needs.

How to reboot your high-contact service business? Preselling gift cards for future services.

Prior to this - personal service jobs were solid because jobs could not be outsourced - but now those are affected too.

Shows off who can and cannot be resilient

Bosses are going to have to fight to get office workers to come to the office. We will have a much different workforce going forward.

People are struggling to balance work and home on either side of the "commute wall". Like a psychological boundary.

People will need to adjust their home social psychology

Atomization of work

HR movement based on value not on time

A lot of business is based on want not need - they will look at things differently.

What regulations no longer apply.

Many people do not segment their time via a work breakdown structure

No solution to being able to balance good content targeted for search engines and humans

Yahoo! used to do this - supposedly linked the best quality content just by humans

Is it time to throw out algorithmically generated curation? There is no way to have that level of quality control. Its the difference between Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Brittanica

GOPHER, ARCHIE, JUGHEAD, and VERONICA?

There is no way to go back to the Yahoo! of old? Is there a business model in users paying a monthly fee for access to a human-curated directory. A Yahoo-Pedia for the 21st century?

What is quality? Quality is in the eye-of-the-beholder.

Inside - and curated newsletters are going pay and private - better content and curation by going pay. Is human curation the thing we pay for since algorithmic creation is failing us so badly?

Would you pay for someone to search through the crap? Just get a better thesaurus

There is no absolute truth - but is their value in getting the best content

Its a continuum between beauty and non-beauty - even if you don't get exactly what you need, it might be enough to take in the right direction.

Build it better, but not perfect. There is a limit to what we can do - we will always be standing on the shoulders of giants.

How can you be spoiler-free in this world?

The long format is back: but we listen to videos and podcasts at double-speed - does this mean that there is a mismatch between the content and the listener?

Content is now long-form, but we still want the TL;DR

Audio is a better medium because you can multitask while you listen

Spending time to read a book will likely improve retention

The 50-page rule - if a book hasn't captured your imagination (fiction or non-fiction) by the time to hit 50 pages, give it up

Read the table of contents and glossary to rip through a book

How to solve the problem between search engines requiring long-form content and humans needing TL;DR

Needs a qualitative, not a quantitative measure

Maybe we should bring back the Yahoo! model - hand-curated directory model - community curation may be broken.

Look at peer reviews for journals - use credentials - eventually there is an equilibrium between the best-credentialed reviewer and the least. Put a lot of onus on the credibility of the reviewer
