likes and dislikes 喜欢的和不喜欢的
If we like something:
I like cooking. 我喜欢做饭。
I like going to the cinema. 我喜欢去看电影。
I quite like going to the cinema. 我挺喜欢去看电影。
If we like something a lot:
I really like cooking. 我非常喜欢做饭。
I like cooking very much. 我非常喜欢做饭。
She's fond of chocolate. 她很喜欢巧克力。
If we love something:
I love cooking. 我爱做饭。
I love eating ice-cream. 我爱吃冰淇淋。
She adores chocolate. 她很喜欢巧克力。
I adore good books and the theatre. 我很喜欢好书和戏剧。
be mad/crazy about football 对足球很狂热
He's crazy about that girl. 他对那个女孩很着迷。
She's mad about that new boy band. 她很喜欢那个新的男孩乐队。
If we neither like nor dislike something:
neither ... nor 既不……也不……,两者都不
I don't mind doing the housework. 我不介意做家务。
It's all the same to me. 对我来说都一样。我都可以。我无所谓。
I don't really care either way.(无论哪个)我不在乎。
如果我们不喜欢某事 if we don't like something,要怎么表达呢?
I don't like cooking very much.
我不太喜欢做饭。
还可以用 be fond of 的否定形式—— be not (very) fond of
He's not very fond of doing the housework.
他不太喜欢做家务。
He's not very fond of doing the gardening.
他不太喜欢园艺。
do the gardening 园艺,种花草树木
He's not a great fan of football.
他不是一个足球迷。
还有一个表达,用 thing,thing 除了“事情,东西”还可以作“特长,专长”
Houseworking isn't his thing.
做家务不是他的特长。/ 他不喜欢做家务。
Gardening isn't his thing.
种花种草不是他的特长。/ 他不喜欢种花种草。
换成 我的特长my thing —>
Houseworking isn't really my thing.
做家务不是我的特长。
Gardening isn't really my thing.
种花种草不是我的特长。
最后,用 dislike 也可以,不过 dislike 有些正式。
I dislike wasting time.
我不喜欢浪费时间。
waste time 浪费时间
