这个拒绝（的原因）是模糊表达 vague expressions，我们再学一句类似的：

拒绝邀请时保持礼貌很重要。It's important to be polite when we decline an invitation. 

我们通常会给出一个理由并说很抱歉我们不能接受邀请。We usually give a reason and say we're sorry that we can't accept the invitation.
