先看日常，非正式的场合，比如我见到朋友Mike，就直接叫他名字：

只有在非正式的场合，才会只叫对方的名字（first name）。

这个表达虽然是two minds，但是虚指，不一定是两个想法，可能是很多个想法之间在犹豫。

这个俚语可以追溯到16世纪早期，那时候开始就不一定是number two了，到18世纪，很多作家也会用到这个表达，像狄更斯在大卫科波菲尔里面说到 I was in twenty minds。

上节课我们学的 be in/of two minds 后面跟 whether or not，be in/of two minds 还经常后面跟 about something / doing something。

可能很多人都会遇到这种情况：我对新工作犹豫不决。新工作离家更近，但也没什么挑战。
