  • 107: 5 Likes Is Ok With Me.

So today while recording, everything that happened was true to the topic.  I had my little on my lap, my son waltzed in eventually and took to the drums, and then I decided that a 10-11 minute episode will be ok.  My littles wanted my attention, and they will get it.  You see I love podcasting, but I also love being a mom.  I know that this could be a job, but for me I enjoy it way too much for it to be a job.  I like that I have the flexibility to oops miss a week, or talk about what I want to talk about.  I don't need the approval of millions to do what I love.  Yes, if someone asked me if I wanted to get paid to do this of course I would say yes, but for the many that listen from around the world... I'll say that again... from AROUND THE WORLD... THANK YOU.  You are the ones that make this podcast flourish, and remind me that what I do is worth it.

So off to play with the littles and cuddle all day!

  • 106: I Only Sugar Coat My Cookies

Never have I ever been a fan of sugar coating anything. I am a big fan of being honest and straightforward, so... why then get mad if I am not sugar coating?  I guess we are all different and I totally get that, but seriously, the only thing I am sugar coating is my cookies...and occasionally my oatmeal with brown sugar of course.

Ugh, now I am hungry.  Alright friends, check it out today and be sure to SUBSCRIBE, RATE/REVIEW and follow me on the Insta!

  • If You Want To Cry... Then Do IT!

As an emotional person, I am all about letting it out!  Yes, I cry often ... dog commercials, people commercials, social media stuff, when I stub my toe.  However, we all need to know that it is okay to be sensitive.  It is okay to have a moment, or many.  So lets do today and be emotional because summer is gone, yet the fall leaves are stunning.

  • 103: I Cried All Week...

DISCLAIMER: I am generally an emotional person, but then add my little starting school... oh my lord!  Like balling, ugly cry face with a side of boogies.  This should have been part of my topic last week with things you're not told.  Update, I'm progressing.

  • 102: Things We Weren't Told.

As a youth, we just lived carefree and lived day by day.  Of course we were told to be nice to people, look both ways, and wash your hands.  However, for some reason as we got older and expectations of responsibility are to be expected, we weren't always told these things.  See, some things we can say yes common sense, but other things if you aren't told, how do you know.  I tell people to please remove their shoes prior to entering my house, or they can FaceTime us from outside.  If you don't say please remove your shoes, how do they know?

So lets touch upon this, plus talk about how there is only 8 more Sundays until HALLOWEEN!!!!

  • 99: One Expensive Night!

Wedding bells are indeed beautiful, breathtaking, and holy expensive.  So then as a guest, what is considered the "right" amount to give the couple?  Per plate? Friend status? Family status?  What if you seriously can not afford what would be considered "right" but want to be there to support the couple?

Another great episode today and how to do this all while 4.0ing life!

Join me next Sunday for my 100th EPISODE!!!

  • 98: No Peekaboo Clothes + Chunky Rolls Are Ok!

Why are baby rolls so cute, but mine not so cute?  Why are we so critical on ourselves?  I mean I get it, healthy living and I am so on board with that, but if we are a healthy weight, eating healthy, and feel good the way we look, why are we so mean just because someone doesn't look like a barbie doll?

Let's do this episode and in two weeks reach the 100th episode!!!!!

About Off Duty

From the publisher's feed

Back in 2019, I started this podcast because moms don’t get enough off-duty time. I’m a mama, a case manager and this is where the hats come off and we say the quiet part out loud. Off Duty starts…
