Off The Hook With Gage

Today on OFF THE HOOK, we mourn the loss and celebrate the music of two IDIOSYNCRATIC musical minds: the whimsical and ICONOCLASTIC "jazz" genius CARLA BLEY and inscrutably CHARISMATIC "power popper" DWIGHT TWILLEY! * We'll likely have to go into extra-time to properly cover these two UNIQUE musical one-offs, but it will be a most enjoyable and edifying excursion! * Tune in for RESPECT and fun on KXSF 102.5FM  https://kxsf.fm/

It's time again for OFF THE HOOK!, the Friday Frolic that every week waddles into the hearts of the lumpen masses -its cringing, fawning fandom-, smothering with blankety piles of blubbery goo(d)ness! * Like a dirge on a barge, an iceberg in pursuit, you can't escape this scuzzy slow motion snow cone because it's already in your mind! * The iceberg, the challenge, it makes less sense when you listen to it, but rolls on unstoppable on KXSF 102.5FM / https://kxsf.fm/

Even though I lovingly prepare BEAUTIFUL AND STIMULATING programs for you every week, let's face it, OFF THE HOOK is really for ME. * And if you're like me, you're an impatiently anxious connoisseur because you know there's not enough time to cram in all of the GREAT NEW MUSIC in a three-hour show! * There's the Birthday Segment and Uncle Gagie's Singles Box, too! * I hope you will join me in saying "OFF THE HOOK is the show for me" because it, in at least one sense, is. * It can be heard on KXSF 102.5FM and here: https://kxsf.fm/

On OFF THE HOOK you get QUALITY that can't be bought! (it comes free as a "thank you" for donating to the station) * And what do you get for opening your wallet when you really didn't have to, but in a way you do? * You get the VITAL resource of UNCENSORED (except for the poo-poo) programming that allows you to hear STRIKING new material that I'd probably get fired for playing on another station (then I'd be out of an unpaid job, but that's not your problem, but in a way it is. Donating would help us both)! * You also get the CHARM of the first-timer (mic style) coupled with the AWE of the cultured and knowledgeable aesthete (that's gotta be worth a dollar)! * Experience the charm & awe for yourself: https://kxsf.fm/

On today's Show That Shows, we show you what those silly things on the side of your head are for! * In addition to EXCITING NEW SOUNDS, oldies lovers will THRILL to a bumper crop of Birthday Celebrations! * Not only will we have Ticket Giveaways, but KXSF legend, the DJ formerly known as FLYING JAPAN will be making a SURPRISE VISIT to tell his story! * And we'll still find time for some shameless begging for donations! * All in all, what we call GOOD RADIO! on KXSF 10.2FM https://kxsf.fm/

Enjoy SILKY SOUNDS in an environment of utter confusion! * How does Kenady turn what should be a walk in the park into a HIGHWIRE ACT? * And why does he speak of himself in the THIRD PERSON? * Because, let's face it, OFF THE HOOK is bigger than the both of them! * Be real for once and get down to sounds that'll have you driving through the park! * OFF THE HOOK, crashing in silk pajamas at 1:00 on KXSF 102.5FM * https://kxsf.fm/

OFF THE HOOK: your weekly new music GO-TO. * But, where does your go-to COME FROM? * In a laboratory, surrounded by fuming beakers of pure sound, cackling to himself as he pursues his WARPED musical vision, a modern alchemist seeks a panacea to the problem of dull radio! * His ceaseless curiosity and IDIOSYNCRATIC tastes ensure that, but is the world ready for his weekly monsters? * An on-going experiment in transformational transmissions, it's like magic and passion had a baby! * And every baby is perfect on OFF THE HOOK at 1:00 on KXSF 102.5FM / https://kxsf.fm/

He goes his own way with little to say. * On his radio show, OFF THE HOOK, he lets the music do the talking! * He's GAGE KENADY, his maverick status is legendary, and he WANTS YOU to join the ranks of the hoards (soon to be legion) of listeners trying to CRACK the code of THIS man's musical MIND: sweet sailing, then BANG! -there's that bit of dissonance he seems to require! * What makes this man tick?? * Be complicit in his complexity at 1:00 on KXSF 102.5FM https://kxsf.fm/  And NO MANG-MANG!

If you can't find what you're looking for on OFF THE HOOK, you've come to the right place! * For OFF THE HOOK caters to the INSATIABLE Music Maniac who likes to stay ONE STEP AHEAD of the Cowed Crowd who are content with their Comfort Cud! * Ruminate elsewhere, Bossy! * OFF THE HOOK offers fresh musical pastures untrampled and untrammeled! * Wander in Free Wonder through soundscapes unheard! * An unbridled yokel ye may yet be!  * OFF THE HOOK on KXSF 102.5FM ( https://kxsf.fm/ )

IT'S FRIDAY! * And Friday is my day to be your Audio Chauffeur! * Let me take the wheel for a swervy journey to SOUND TOWN! * (aka OFF THE HOOK) * Loosen that seatbelt, put your feet on the dash and suck on that open container -there are no laws on this toll-free road! * I've got my LICENSE TO SPILL, so you auto let me drive you crazy on OFF THE HOOK, my VEHICLE to CONVEY! * This road-tested pile-up of crashing good tunes can be heard in archive here -> https://kxsf.fm/
