Snetterton - Qualifying

With such close and competitive racing in the BTCC and the support championships there are invariably racing accidents as drivers fight for every position. We were delighted with the performance of the SAFEGENIUS unit as it makes the track completely clean and safe following an incident as all the liquid was removed from the Tarmac. The quick operation also meant there are no delays to the jam-packed race programme, ensuring the fans didn’t miss a single minute of the action.

The use in the BTCC of this bespoke system is a first for British motorsport and is perfectly suited to motor racing. I’m also very proud that the BTCC is, yet again, at the forefront in providing a safer and more efficient motorsport environment.

The system works by using patented mechanical suction technology, and unlike vacuums, can be used to clean-up combustible liquids from the road surface. Once the road is free of harmful liquids, the carriageway is washed and returned to its original state.
