Jesus in the garden is more than just a prayer. It's a flat out dealing with a big problem! God is asking him to do something nobody else is able to do. The beauty of our struggles is how we address them. Jesus gave us a great blue print to use.

What if God desired to have a place in your home that was devoted specifically to Him? A place you could go and be with Him? In Old Testament times, God set this up and the only ones to step beyond the veil of the room were the high priests. Jesus tore the veil away by his death and resurrection giving us direct contact with God. What was Jesus up to by doing this?

In a wedding, there is typically a gift that is given to the bride by the groom. Jesus was no different in leaving a gift for us as He went to prepare a place for us. In fact, He said He HAD to leave in order for us to have this gift which would be even more beneficial to us than He would be until Jesus returned!

"....Like a bride waiting for her Groom, we'll be a church ready for you." These are the words of a song called "Even So Come". They are so true...a risen Jesus left us like a groom leaves to prepare a place for his bride. Soon enough...He will be back for us!

So many times we want things the way we want them because we're sure its the best way. But is it really? The Jews were positive the Messiah was going to overwhelm the Roman rule, but I think we can honestly say that God knew what was best in this situation!

Time is an interesting thing. Our lives are fully attached to the three arms of the clock. We also limit ourselves with time. Does how we time ourselves impact our walk with Jesus? Why didn't Jesus hurry to the tomb of Lazarus when he heard Lazarus was sick? Could it be that God doesn't work on our time, but we should be thinking about HIS timing?

Sheep...one of God's most interesting creations. They aren't the sharpest in terms of common sense. Yet Jesus uses the idea of sheep to help us understand how much he loves us and cares for us. He knows us by name and we listen and respond to His voice.

Jesus was always finding ways to take the misguided thoughts of the day and clarify truth. This concept literally blew the lid off the proverbial can! "I Am?" "Before Abraham, I AM?" This wasn't just an impact statement. No...this was a full fledge declaration of Truth!

We search and hunger for bread. It's who we are. The problem for us is we hunger after bread that will continue to leave us hungry, but Jesus offered a bread that will keep us from ever being hungry again. So why do we keep crying out for the other bread? Dive into this topic with us!
