Between the film and the musical, there's just so much to praise about Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame adaptations, based on the novel by Victor Hugo. Not only are the music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz phenomenal, but the story itself, a little darker as it may be, is one of substance and thought-provoking, too. A very high recommend from us!

We try to talk about Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin, but, well, between the Language and Romance settings we sort of broke all our pearls over this one. In short, this book really isn't for a Young Adult audience. Also, we might need to get more pearls before our next episode.
