Oh Now Ya Tell Me episodes

  • Episode 7: Grief
Yep, it’s time to talk about some tough stuff. This is the first of two episodes that will delve into pain that hides in the innermost corners of our being, hoping that if it stays hidden for long enough it’ll eventually disappear. Well, it won’t. Believe us, we’ve tried.
Look, we get it, this is uncomfortable. Being vulnerable is one of if not the scariest thing we as humans can be. Hell, we’ve gone back and forth about a dozen times regarding whether or not to actually upload this episode. But, as we’ve said since day one, our goal is to be here for you and be honest about life’s lessons, including the impossibly difficult ones.
    So…let’s do this.

Ah, work. The word alone is enough induce panic, cold sweats, and clenched

  • Episode 3: Weddings
We’ve both walked down the aisle and let us be the first to say, it’s not the most graceful of journeys. Most of us will only have one wedding in our lifetime and the pressure to plan the perfect day can seem insurmountable. Today we’re sharing our biggest wedding planning wins and fails with the hope of helping you have more of the first and less of the second.
Like what ya hear? Feel free to steal these ideas for your own! Maybe just, ya know, invite us to your wedding as a thank you. We may not be the most well behaved, but we’ll definitely give you a night to remember.
…welp, now we made it sound like we’re ladies of the night, which we’re not (no disrespect to those who are. Unlike that one gym facing several lawsuits, we truly are judgement-free). We know it’s your wedding and it’s all about you and your wants, but let’s not get too crazy.
Unless you’ve got an open bar, then we’ll talk.

  • Episode 2: Pet Parenthood
If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that pets are real-life unicorns; they have this magical ability to make even the worst of days seem not so bad and display the most unconditional of love. Their overwhelming cuteness thaws even the iciest of hearts and is one of the few things we would consider murdering for (see ya in hell, David Berkowitz).
But, with all of this wonderfulness comes the stuff that no one thinks about. Pet ownership is a huge responsibility and not a decision that should be made lightly. Unfortunately, animals have health issues. Past trauma. Quirks that we don’t understand. They depend on you 100% and only know the love and care that you provide. It’s up to you to ensure they get everything they need to be healthy and happy.
Today we’re discussing what we wish we would’ve known before adopting our sweet angels. Not that the outcome would’ve changed, but it definitely would’ve been nice to have a heads up about some things…looking at you, anal glands.

  • Episode 1: Embarrassing Moments
Embarrassing moments, we’ve had a few. Everyone has. So why do we act like we don’t? From accidental falls to unintentional nip slips, we’ve endured enough embarrassment to last a lifetime.
While the main focus of this podcast is to inform you of life lessons that we’ve learned so far, we also want to open the lines of communication and make you feel like you’re amongst friends. Because you are! We’ve all had a crappy year and need to build each other up rather than break each other down (anyone else sing-screaming Linkin Park and being silently judged by your dog? No? Just us?).
On today’s episode, we’ve selected a handful of gems to share with you because we love you and, let’s face it, we could all use a laugh. It may as well be at our expense. Ya welcome.
