The rule that bans spitballs and requires major league umpires to throw out dirty balls was paid for in blood. In 1920, Cleveland shortstop Ray Chapman was beaned in the head by a dirty ball. To this day, he remains the only major league player to ever die as a direct result of gameplay.

In the early 1980s, two women vanished from their homes in the Muskingum County seat of Zanesville. Barbara Frame was a mother of three and recently divorced from an abusive husband who vanished after leaving her house to run errands in 1984. Helen Robinson, a CB enthusiast, disappeared with no explanation, her car found at a Columbus airport two years later.

We discuss the mysterious 1940 death of Noreen Mozee. Mrs. Mozee would embark on the luxury liner, SeeAndBee in Cleveland, Ohio on an overnight journey to Buffalo, NY. However something went wrong along the way and Noreen Mozee would go missing, along with her money and jewelry until her battered body would be discovered washed up on the beach on Geneva-on-the-Lake. She was not identified at the time and buried in a paupers grave. When her identity was discovered, the mystery only deepened. Was she murdered? Was it suicide? Was he crew involved? Join us as we discuss this fascinating case that remains officially unresolved to this day.

In 1975, boxing great Muhammad Ali faced off against an underdog - Chuck Wepner - in a match held at Summit County's Richfield Coliseum. Wepner held up for almost 15 full rounds, and even scored a rare knockout against the reigning world champ. Wepner's performance in Ohio inspired an out-of-work actor named Sylvester Stallone to sit down over the next three days and pen the script for one of Hollywood's most iconic films.

The 21 year old Miss Volpe was a governess of an area family and was visiting her mother in Lorain when she disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Her body was soon found nearby at the base of a cliff on the shores of Lake Erie prompting an investigation that would soon unveil dark stories, rumors and conjecture about her death. Join us as we discuss this fascinating case that remains officially unresolved to this day.
