In the study of country home on the Hudson River, some 50 miles from New York. An attractive auburn haired young woman has just entered the room, and as she shakily picks up the telephone and dials a number it is obvious that she is under some frightful strain. She is telephoning the police but there is no answer. She telephones the operator to be put through to the police but the line has been cut. As she panics, someone enters the room and murders her. . .
