Don suffered from blackout periods when he couldn’t remember what had happened but he hadn’t had one for a while until apparently last night when he met and killed Whitey.

James Stewart’s inimitable style and voice make the Six Shooter stories an absolute pleasure for anyone who loves westerns, as I do. If you’ve seen films starring James Stewart, you’ll see that these stories were written for him. I love them all! In this story Al is having his hair cut and discussing a meeting they had last night. Al is not looking forward to telling Gabe that they feel that after 40 years it is time for him to quit being the sheriff of Yellow Crest, when Britt calls in. Britt has not seen Gabe for 4 years but he and Gabe are old friends and Breezy - the barber - suggests that Britt be the one to tell him.

This is my personal favorite Suspense episode.  

Mickey the Hood whose real name is Michael Jonathan O’Banyan had been a bootlegger, gun runner and jewel thief. After he served his term in order to fill out his parole he worked for a drug company before he opened a little importing company, which was probably just a little front for his bootlegging. He managed to secure half million insurance coverage on his business and a quarter million on his life. He’s a bad risk and likely to be bumped off at any time and is constantly behind on his premiums. In order to cancel his policy the insurance company need insurance investigator Johnny Dollar to find some legal proof that Mickey is still in the rackets.
