Let the debate begin. Florida State probably put together the best mixture of quantity and quality in the first wave of the Transfer Portal window, but which transfer will make the biggest impact in 2023?

The crew at On The Bench ranks all 9 scholarship transfers in our projected order of impact this season. There are some, um, interesting choices here and it gets a bit heated.

Regardless, the exercise does reveal that FSU knocked it out of the park in the Portal and should have very strong depth as a result this season.

Florida State’s recruiting efforts for the 2024 cycle are starting to ramp up. The Seminoles have conducted Junior Days on back-to-back weekends, and with a third coming up this weekend, FSU is very much establishing its prospect board.

As Chris Nee says in the latest episode of On The Bench, this is “exploratory surgery” for FSU as it undergoes a vetting process for what should be an extremely important class for the ‘Noles.

First Nee gets into the last couple of Junior Days – top visitors like Landen Thomas and Dylan Stephenson, as well as some notable trends emerging in this cycle – and then we check in with the traveling South Florida boys Zach Blostein and Dane Draper to see what they learned from their time covering the Battle Miami 7-on-7 event.

Florida State's defense was good this past season, but can it make the jump forward to the next level? Noles247's On The Bench dives into the additions, returners, and departures on the defensive side of the ball to give a thorough assessment of whether the Seminoles can legitimately level up in 2023.

Trey Rowland is running point as Nee, Kev and Coach AB break down the defense, as well as the hire of DB coach Patrick Surtain.

It’s a crowded episode of On The Bench as we went live to evaluate the hire of DB coach Patrick Surtain (and learn how to pronounce his name), the addition of DE Gilber Edmond, and the departure of WR Malik McClain.

As if that wasn’t enough, we then jump into an early preview of Florida State’s 2023 offense. Going over the strengths – there should be a lot – the unknowns and what this group could evolve into with most key pieces back.
