It’s the most wonderful time of the year. With the holidays approaching, you may be thinking about how you’ll celebrate with your team. • 236. Setting Goals with Your Team That Actually Work
I consider myself a goal-oriented person, but that doesn’t mean I love setting goals in a work environment. (What is a SMART goal anyway?!) Still, it’s a leader’s expectation to set goals with your team members, and show them you’re invested in their success.
Goalsetting should happen for new employees during onboarding and on an annual basis for all other employees. It may make sense to do this for project-based goals, too.
This episode provides five steps to get you started in setting goals for your team that actually work.
Your One Bold Move: Set meaningful goals with your team members that motivate them to achieve more than they thought possible and remember to celebrate progress along the way.
