We are honored to welcome the CEO and founder of Patreon on this episode of One Fantastic Week. Jack Conte is an American musician, singer-songwriter, disc jockey, entrepreneur, and filmmaker. He is also one half of Pomplamoose with his wife Nataly Dawn. Pete Mohrbacher recently had the pleasure of meeting Jack in person and now we are so fortunate as to be able to welcome Jack onto our show.

Upon graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Omar Rayyan settled on the island of Martha's Vineyard with his wife Sheila (her work can be found at www.sheilarayyan.com). The bucolic surroundings compliment and help inspire his "old world" aesthetic toward painting. Although looking to the past for inspiration and guidance from the great oil painters of the Northern Renaissance and the Romantic and Symbolist painters of the 19th century, he has picked watercolor as his medium of choice.

Sam Guay is an artist focused on work that explores our inner, emotional worlds. Much of her childhood was spent alone in the woods or exploring the possibilities of dreams. She has drawn on these personal experiences to create a visual language of dark nature, hypnagogic patterns, and moody atmospheres. Her intention with her work, whether it be a single painting, a story, or a large project is to invite quiet conversations with those private worlds where we can find ourselves most readily and connect more meaningfully to the world around us.

Today we are joined by Lauren Panepinto and Marc Scheff to check in on their project Drawn + Drafted. Think of them as translators, diplomats, even midwives. They are the defenders of both a client’s dreams and an artists' rights. They have been both clients and artists ourselves, and there is nothing more rewarding to them than fostering collaboration that is truly positive and rewarding to all parties involved.

Mr. Polansky has worked with ARTPact, an illustrator’s rights organization, and regularly teaches courses about intellectual property and contract law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, and received his JD from the Catholic University of America, and his MA and BAs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania – where he was a triple major in Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies. He currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife Kelley. In their spare time, they make independent films. (No, not that kind. Pervert.)

Loish is from Holland and has Dutch nationality, she has lived all over the world, including the United States, Indonesia, France, and Belgium. Upon finishing high school in 2004, she studied animation in Ghent (Belgium) for a year and then moved back to her home country to study animation at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (HKU) in Hilversum. She is currently a freelance illustrator and animator located in Utrecht (the Netherlands) and living with her boyfriend and fellow animator Arjen Klaverstijn.

Cory Godbey creates fanciful illustrations for picture books, covers, comics, animated shorts, and films. From commercials to documentary films, Cory has worked with a wide-ranging series of subjects and styles to create thoughtful, engaging, and award-winning art and animation for over a decade. His work has been featured in a variety of esteemed annuals and publications including ImagineFX, The Society of Illustrators, and Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art. He enjoys meeting new creatures and hikes through twisting paths with friends. Cory lives with his wife, son, and a pack of stray cats in South Carolina.

On this week's episode Peter Mohrbacher is joined by friend of the show, co-host Nen Chang! Nen Chang is an illustrator and painter working in comics, gaming, and fine art. Specializing in integrating violence, gore, and horror with the beautiful and the surreal, NEN pulls an unspoken vision of the human condition from the fluidity of water, the subtlety of second glances, and her ability to pair painstaking attention to detail with the freedom of frenzied motion.
