Virginia Baker Woolf holds a completed a double degree in Spanish and worked as a Lecturer in Spanish for many years and most recently as an Educational Management Consultant and Executive Coach. 

If you have ever struggled with your mindset around money then this is the episode for you. After qualifying as a coach in 2001 and working in her corporate gig as a Lecturer, today’s guest left a toxic work environment to focus on being a full time coach. Along the way she fought through two different cancer diagnosis in one year! Virginia is passionate about changing women’s mindsets when it comes to money, but those limiting mindsets can also apply to men and we chat about how our mindset towards money is different for the sexes and perhaps the reasons why.

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a group of rare, genetic disorders that involve a breakdown and loss of cells in the retina. It is hereditary and often ends in total vision loss. Suffers are mostly diagnosed in their teens. Unusually my father was diagnosed with this condition at the age of 57. Now 70, my dad talks about his journey of slowly losing his sight and the impact his diagnoses has had on his life.

We talk: fishing, retirement, sight loss, family, learning to walk with a white cane, guide dogs and the dangers of talking with your hands when you can’t see waiters with drink trays beside you.

Nenia Corcoran has been a police officer in New Hampshire for nearly a decade and teaches a general safety class for young women. Despite being a police officer and professionally trained on how to identify domestic abuse on the job, she found herself a survivor herself of domestic violence. Nenia’s goal is to empower and educate young women to recognize the signs of toxic relationships to avoid becoming victims of abuse.

Holding a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing and a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature from Southern New Hampshire University she is the author of He Loves Me Not, a young adult novel aiming to shine a light on toxic relationships and dating violence.

Keith Banks is one of Queensland’s most decorated police officers and his experience as a Tactical Operations Specialist Officer in the eighties.
