Well, we say that having not watched many genuine classics between us, so take that advice with a pinch of salt. At the very least everyone should listen to this episode and watch the trailer. It's a slow burner that ends in pure chaos AND it features the dad from Elf!

This week we turn it up to 11, as we watched Love and Monsters (2020), the extremely highly anticipated post apocalyptic coming of age story featuring the greatest actor on the planet (unclear as to whether this in reference to Dylan O'Brien or Hero the dog). Dear listener, we are sorry, but this is what happens when a stan reviews a film.

You may think that C***y Spice and Myopic Spice are here to crap all over this glorious mess of a film, but you'd be wrong. Welcome to our Music from our Childhood month! This week we're watching S Club 7: Back to the 50's (1999), a TV special that only Calum and a few others bothered to remember. Now you may be wondering why we didn't watch Seeing Double (2003) and honestly the long and short of it is that we didn't want to. The music on that album was boring. No, we're here for Back to the 50's terrible acting, out of place music and Jo's single tear. Should be noted that none of them were born in the 50s, so we don't know why it's called Back to the 50's (other than the fact they wanted to shamelessly rip off Back to the Future). Bonus! We also watch a reunion performance from each band we watch a movie of.

To celebrate this clearly awesome human being, we watched The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story (2019). So yeah, the guy was crappy and this documentary certainly doesn't want to let you forget that. Join us as we bask in the shade. It's our favourite place to be (other than the sea, but we've moved on from that, we don't want to become that weird fish move podcast).

No, it's not a fever dream from your childhood. Help! I'm a Fish (2001) was a real life film that you probably went to see in the cinema (if you're a 90s baby/child like us). Despite being bizarre, not many people seem to remember it until they hear the song and then it all comes flooding back. Well, some of it. Alan Rickman plays an evil fish called Joe. Joe. Who'd have thought that would be forgettable? This is a really fun episode, so we hope you enjoy our descent into madness. As per usual, Calum cares too much about the small details, and Sam not enough. Back to normality. Our Video Game Adaptation Month has officially ended. This week, we watched the latest Disney Pixar animation, Luca (2021). We don't know about you guys, but did it not feel like this film kinda snuck in under the radar? If it weren't for social media and the Disney+ banner, we would never have known it was a thing. We both love pasta and we both technically qualify as sea monsters, so Luca is really the perfect premise for us. It could even be seen as a documentary of our ideal version of existence. Genuinely. This episode is only late because we decided the beach is our new home.
