As the rates of Mental Health Illness increases, so does the rate of Suicide.
Amy Bleuel is someone who has both lost Family, and been close to suicide throughout her own journey.
Incredibly, Amy used her creative passion to build a movement, turned charity: Project Semi-Colon, to help and inspire many of those who previously felt loss.
The incredible effect that drawing a simple punctuation mark on yourself can have is shown with the following and support Amy and the charity have created.
"A semicolon is used when an author could’ve ended a sentence but chose not to. You are the author and the sentence is your life."
Amy is proof that there can be another journey to take in life. You always have a choice, and realising that you can live through the pain to create happiness is liberating. It all starts with trusting that things will get better.
If you're struggling with Mental Health Illnesses or know someone who is it's important not to keep this to yourself.
