WWII used spy balloons. On May 5th, 1945 a balloon from Japan descended in Oregon and exploded killing a family of 6. It was later discovered that Japan released 900 exploding balloons post WWII.

Tom Fuentes is the former Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is currently the President of Fuentes International, L.L.C., a consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the U.S. State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council and provides executive level consulting to law enforcement agencies throughout the world. 

Mr. Fuentes has also hosted television documentaries for National Geographic, The History Channel and Netflix. He served as Senior Law Enforcement Analyst for CNN from 2009-2019. In 2013 he joined Morris & McDaniel as Vice President for International Development. The firm specializes in Police applicant and promotional testing programs. 

Mr. Fuentes served as an Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His 29-year career in the FBI included 11 years as a member of the U.S. Government’s Senior Executive Service. He directed the Office of International Operations. He also served as a member of INTERPOL’s Executive Committee. He was the first FBI executive on-scene commander in Iraq. He was a member and/or commander of FBI SWAT teams in Chicago, San Francisco, Indianapolis and tactical co-commander at the summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996. He also was a police officer for six years before entering on duty with the FBI. 

Mr. Fuentes is a 2007 graduate of the FBI’s National Executive Institute, a member of the FBI’s National Academy Associates, National Executive Institute Associates, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He received the Society of Asian Federal Officers’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Mr. Fuentes was born and raised in Chicago.

Unbeknownst to Oswald, he meets and marries a girl who's the daughter of the head of the KGB. After a year or two in Russia Oswald returns to the United State

Lou interviews Jeff Mueller and Steve Sullivan. Jeff graduated from the US Naval Academy where he spent 11 years as a Naval Officer. He then spent nearly 22 years in the FBI in Chicago working violent crimes as a SWAT team agent and sniper. Post 9/11 he worked counter terrorism. Ended up running the protection of critical infrastructure in the United States and internationally in France. Post retirement he started a global security company. Jeff and Steve formed a new company partnering new to market security technologies called Prevenitas. 

Steve’s background is in cyber. Started off in IBM and then started working with one of the big agencies in Washington. He put together a technology team to focus on unstructured data. The biggest asset that Jeff and Steve feel they have are their children and they’re trying to protect the children of the future and make the world a better place. 

They talk about the border in Mexico and how to neutralize the cartel who is gaining control of our border. What technologies are we using to combat the cartel and this border issue? They explain what a "gotaway" is to the viewers. There are an estimated million "gotaways" that have crossed the border into the United States. Lou welcomes special guest Doctor Michael Hanemann. He is considered the single most successful environmental and resource economist of our time. He was a Chancellor’s professor of environmental and resource economics at UC Berkeley for 35 years. He’s currently a Wrigley Professor in the Department of Economics & the School of Sustainability at Arizona State where he’s taught for the past 12 years.

He is currently writing a textbook on the ‘economics of water.’ He was elected as a member of the US National Academy of Sciences in 2011.He served on the California water rights agency’s economic staff & designed the water rates that LA used very successfully for 25 years.

He has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics, and a Ph.D in economics from Harvard.
