While both of these segments are about different topics, they share a common thread. During both monologues, Chris hints at the idea that passion is an essential element to progression. If your business could survive being open 5 hours a week or your company is so self-sufficient that you only need to work 4 hours a week, would that stop you from putting in more time to continue to progress? If you truly are passionate about your business and focused on maximizing its potential, you're probably going above and beyond the minimum amount that is required of you. You want your business to be the best it can be because great things don’t last forever.
