The Irish rugby team saw their World Cup campaign come to a heartbreaking end, losing 18-13 to France in Exeter. Ruben Amorim is under the coach again as his Manchester United side lost the Manchester derby 3-0 to rivals City. And closer to home, St. Patricks Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Kerry FC and Cork City make up the final four in the FAI Cup.

In football, Manchester City comfortably overcame Manchester United while Kerry mounted a comeback from 3-0 down against Sligo Rovers to book their place in The FAI Cup semi-finals.

There was plenty of boxing action as Lewis Crocker overcame Paddy Donovan in the first ever all-Irish world title fight - in somewhat controversial circumstances at Windsor Park. Aoife O’Rourke claimed gold at the World Championships in Liverpool & Callum maintained his unbeaten record in the co-main event of Terence Crawford incredible win over Canelo Alvarez!

Ireland exited the Women’s Rugby World Cup at the hands of France. Despite leading 0-13 at half-time, they failed to register a single score in the second period, ultimately falling short on a scoreline of 18-13…

And it’s been a mixed bag so on the track in Tokyo for Team Ireland…
