This is a case study of three different alternative options for various stages of education. Sudbury schools offer a physical school that is structured around self directed learning and student leadership. The Ron Paul Homeschooling Curriculum is a fairly structured, mostly online option for homeschoolers who want a system to follow but still want to be home based, self directed, and promote critical thinking. Praxis is a college alternative that offers a fairly quick and cheap way to go from high school or any other stage in life into a promising career through education, project learning, apprenticeship, and more. These all offer alternatives to the standard system and are good examples to wrap up this series on education.

Two of the themes that have popped out in this series on education have been the role of nature and technology in education. Both have their advantages, and both can be restrictive. For the final overview episode of alternative movements in education, let's look at some alternatives to college and ways to educate yourself to launch your career, start a new career, or just enhance your resume. I'll start off by going over some reasons why college can often be a waste of time and money for a large portion of the population. Then, we'll get into some alternative options including trades, government options, "bootcamps, certifications, self directed, etc. I'll also highlight a few specific programs out there such as Techtonic, Right Skill, and Uncollege.

This overview of homeschooling explores the most popular methods and curriculum that are used to structure the education of children from home. I touch on some of the reasons why many parents feel unequipped and unsure about pursuing this option as well. The homeschooling models covered are "school at home", unit studies, the classical method, Waldorf, Montessori, Charlotte Mason, unschooling, and custom plans.

For the first episode of this final series on education, I cover alternative options and programs within the public school system. Yes, there are some great opportunities and movements despite the structure of the system and you don't necessarily have to look outside of the system for a good option. Two great examples of blockchain projects currently in the works are PIVX and Cardano. PIVX is a decentralized, privacy-centric cryptocurrency. Cardano is a blockchain platform with many further potential applications. This episode looks into what these projects are, their philosophies, their potential, some struggles, and more.

This episode covers some broad themes and reactions of blockchain technology. The first subject is ideologies and political stances. Next is the response from governments and corporations, of which some are outwardly pro while others are publicly against. To join these two concepts of ideology and response, I also look at how these reactions to blockchain technology, both pro and con, align with the ideologies and original goals of the movement. The final segment covers how individuals are responding to this new technology. This wraps up with an overview of tokenizing people, what that could look like and how it could be implemented in relation to higher education, employment, and investment.
