Blockchain technology is not just for cryptocurrencies. There are many other use cases to explore with whole new worlds of opportunities. This episode opens with a very brief look at Ethereum and the idea of blockchain platforms before getting into the other aspects and use cases such as smart contracts, zero knowledge proofs, IDs, voting, DAOs, censorship resistance, tokenization, micro payments and more. Some of the other projects briefly brought up include Dash, Stellar, IOTA, and Nano.

Here's a preview of what will be in the rest of the current series on blockchain, an update on Rojava/ Syria, and an update on a possible connection between Epstein and John DeCamp who I played an interview from in a previous episode.

Blockchain technology started with Bitcoin and has been used most often as a protocol for other cryptocurrencies. This episode starts with the Bitcoin story, how bitcoin works, and why it exists then I get into the problems with bitcoin which leads to some brief coverage of other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Monero, Zcash, the Mimble Wimble protocol, and more.

This is the first episode in the current series on blockchain technology. This episode covers the basics such as "What is blockchain technology?", "How does it work?", "How is it used in today's world?", and also goes over the benefits and the negatives from a broad perspective. Hopefully, this is accessible for those new to the topic and also helpful for those fully versed in blockchain basics.

At first glance, a stateless society seems a little crazy, very naive, and definitely impossible. Even after covering the premise of anarcho capitalism in episode 38, I'm sure that many questions and objections remain. Who would build the roads? How would justice and courts be handled? Police and national defense? What about pollution? How would child abuse be prevented and stopped? I go over these objections and more in this case study of the details of anarcho capitalism.

This update episode previews the next series on the future of money and markets and goes over some of the oddities that surround the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11 (not focused on conspiracy theories, more just presenting aspects that don't get a lot of mainstream media attention).
Anarcho capitalism describes a stateless society that is based on voluntary interaction, strong property rights, and obviously no government. This likely sounds very far fetched or naive if you aren't familiar with the philosophy but I think you will be surprised at how much sense it makes. I start with an overview of the ideology and philosophy then progress to topics such as spontaneous order, competition balance, property rights, the effect of selfish ambitions, and more. The episode wraps up with a more practical vision of this free society including war, insurance, police, courts, charity, schools, etc. This presentation of the ancap system will be followed by a case study episode of the objections and issues with such a society.

Is it even possible for a government to exist with voluntary participation? One that is efficient, effective, and moral? I am proposing that not only is it possible but it would theoretically be much better than any current system in today's world. I lay out what this government would look like, how it would work, what the incentive models would be, and some ways it could actually be worked towards and partially adopted out of existing modern government structures. Past episodes have laid out how government is immoral, impractical, corrupt, and so on. Now I feel the responsibility to present an alternative without totally ditching the idea of having a government (that will be next episode).

Are modern governments an efficient and effective way to manage a society? Are they even incentivised to manage society well, for the benefit of all, and with a long term vision? These are the topics addressed in this episode. I have shown previously that government is immoral at a structural level but many would argue that it's still a good way to organize and manage a society regardless of moral concerns. This opinion is assessed mainly by looking at the incentive models that exist in the structure of modern governments and seeing if they incentivise effective and/or efficient management.

In this update episode, I'll cover the outline for this series on assessing government as a system first. Next is an update on Epstein. Since this case was mentioned in the previous update episode and much has happened since, I'll share the updates and my thoughts on the matter. Last is extra content that wasn't included in episode 34. Moral Arguments Against Government. Since that episode focused on a moral assessment from a fairly universal view, I'll highlight in this episode a moral assessment from a Judeo-Christian or biblical view. Spoiler alert.... the conclusion is the same no matter what moral assessment you use but it's very interesting none the less, especially since many "Bible believers" are very supportive of government, pro military, and staunch loyalists to the Republican Party.
