Alright Christian, we are living in a “negative” world and you’ve got marching orders.

Segment 1

Aaron Wren writing an article for firstthings.com examines the three worlds of evangelicalism.

1. Positive (Pre 1994) during this time the world was positive toward Christians

2. Neutral (1994-2014) Christianity no longer had favored status, but it wasn’t looked down upon.

3. Negative (2014-Today) Christian morality is a threat to the social order.

We’re seeing cracks and divisions in evangelical Christianity.

Segment 2

In the positive world we were seeker sensitive.

In the neutral world we were more cultural engagers.

In the negative world we seem to be stumped.

Evangelicalism is in a flux.

What caused the negative world?

Segment 3

How should we live in a negative world?

Let’s go back to the marching orders of Jesus.

We need to be preaching the gospel, living as salt and light, and engaging in our local churches.

Satan desires human destruction and that’s what is happening.

Segment 4

Rescuing the perishing – those are our marching orders.
