Acomi and Turk182 go to the Olympics! By way of the television and internet.

The two discuss their take on the Olympics, its past controversies, the winners and losers (even if they win), and which events captured their attention. And, by the latter, they can only mean the world's best worst breakdancer, Raygun! The 37 year old Australian professor of dance, that blew the world away - practically off its axis - with her unusual performance. A performance in which she was award no points in all three events. Truly, a sight to behold.

Join Acomi and Turk as they try to piece together how this came to be and why she surprised by the backlash. They also pitch a "based on a true story" movie about her road to the Olympics in the tradition of the movie Cool Runnings.

Acomi and Turk182 take a moment to talk about some YouTube drama and the general state of world affairs. Turk shows Acomi a segment of YouTuber Scott Schaffer's scam busting episode about Car Shield. In particularly, his comments towards rapper, rock singer, songwriter, actor, documentarian, and former pimp Ice T.

While discussing Car Shield's recent fine and admission of wrong doing, Scott also threw some harsh and negative statements at Ice T. Based on the comments, it was clear that he didn't know anything about him. Turk thought his barbs were fairly ignorant and bordered on racist. Not Scott himself, but his words. And, took it upon himself to provide a little education.

Part 2

Acomi and Turk182 conclude their discussion of 3 Act story structure with a comparison on the differences in the Ready Player One novel versus the movie.

They return to the first subject of part one, with Turk talking about the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. In relation, they talk about associated, or believed associated, guilt for actions carried out generations past. They talk about history being a tool and not a weapon.

Turk starts going on about how a hostage crisis doesn't work, after someone tried to rob a bank with grenades. And, the insanity and stupidity of the North Hollywood Bank Robbery in 1997.

Part 1

Acomi and Turk182 open with the horrible history of Chiquita Banana and their ties to terrorism. After making bananas unsafe to eat, they taking about writing and story structure.

When perusing Reddit for information that's isn't NSFW, Turk came across the Cool Guides sub-reddit and a guide to writing. The guide outline story structure in a 3 Act process, with smaller story/character arc within each act. Not having ever followed a detailed writing guide of structure breakdown before, Turk was curious about how his style matches to what you should use.

Lastly, Turk tells Acomi about the mostly unknown Kanye West film Cruel Summer (2012), starring rapper Kid Cudi. Only playing once, at The Cannes Film Festival, Cruel Summer utilized cutting edge camera work and techniques created by Kanye. The most impressive being the Seven Screen Experience.

Acomi and Turk182 break out the pesticides and poison granules and hope that they don't get caught in Madame Web (2024). A movie so disjointed, poorly written, devoid of the source material, and without a shred of self awareness that you'll long for the sweet intellectual sledgehammer of that pun.

Following in the tradition of Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Morbius (2022), is the third Sony/Sonyverse Spider-Man movie without Spider-Man. A Spiderverse built around a character that doesn't even exist in their world... yet?

Despite the most talked about issue, being the "main characters" never wear the "spider-suits", the movie has even worse problems of a more grounded nature. Computers that have connect to 8 monitors at once and access surveillance cameras throughout the city in 1990. The ability to drive a stolen cab for several days, including leaving it in long term parking at the airport (even Tyler wouldn't steal that), and not get caught. Traveling to a jungle in South America and back again in under 12 hours. And, there's destroying public and private property all over Manhattan and surrounding boroughs and not having to pay for it.

Oh, the plot? We'll let you know when we find it. Surprisingly, the one person that couldn't see this movie bombing was the only person that can see the future.

Join Acomi and Turk for a journey on a web that's as tangled as a straight line. Hopefully, that line led out of the theater. A web so lacking of substance that it couldn't catch flies with honey, gorilla glue, and Mr. Miyagi all working together. Prepare yourself for Madame Web (2024).

Acomi and Turk182 lower their expectation even further than The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977) for this low budget poorly conceived film.

Five juvenile delinquents are sent on a weekend excursion to learn about hard work and responsibility; like a scared straight version of The Breakfast Club. When one of them disturbs a makeshift grave and takes a souvenir, they unknowingly arouse the ire of the legendary Paul Bunyan.

The uneducated and severely disabled Paul stalk after the troubled teens and their guardians, with his axe. No one is safe from the wrath of wilderness Jason Voorhees and his uncontrollable ability to change size and never be in the same perspective.

Join Acomi and Turk as they groan through this 4th rate D-movie. Saying this movie's horrible is akin to giving it a B+ rating.
