A form of the folding chair has been around for centuries, that is an absolute fact. The version we are talking about here is one that still is relevant today. You see it at games, churches, schools an many other places. Please do what research you can on Nathaniel Alexander and enjoy the show.

When you speak on accomplished MCs in the game Jay Z is one of those names that come to mind first. We speak on how Jay Z and all other relevant MCs from the 80s & 90s should get their respect. The 90s was a such ever changing period for Hip Hop and to stay in the mix and be on top of your game says a lot. You can hear Live At The Oasis live on legalcrimeradio.com Wednesday 8pm and Saturday 6pm and on mixcloud

The influence of what The Black Panthers started in Oakland was felt world wide. This is a great example of that fact, The Polynesian Panther Party in New Zealand put in that work. Before I spoke about them I talked about the incident in Syracuse New York where a Black boy was not quite apprehended, more like in custody of the police for stealing a bag of chips. You know we talk about everything on Live At The Oasis and Our World Our Time. Please do your own research about The Polynesian Panther Party and enjoy.

To say surfing legend is an absolute understatement when speaking of Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku AKA Duke Kahanamoku. The art of surfing itself has a great history which I touched on. Please look this legend up and enjoy the show. I'm sorry I butchered the name of this legend, it happens, I'm sorry.

Who knew that "the slap heard around the world" would cause so much controversy. If you were thinking you'd read more than that, I'm sorry. This isn't a "history moment" but it will be. Just my opinion on the matter.

This month is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and I set it off with Benazir Bhutto. She became The Prime Minister of Pakistan in 1988. Please look this woman up. A rich history and great moment for women in Pakistan.

This episode is about Mary Magdalene. I chose the picture from the mini series solely out of pettiness. I was not aware of the hate the show got for many biblical inaccuracies, one being a Black Mary Magdalene. That conversation/debate is something I can get into a later date. For now I'm talking about important Mary is to the concept of being saved in the belief of Christianity. Please do your research and enjoy.
