  • Letting Go of the Hustle Mindset and Embracing Your Journey

Hurry up! You're behind.  Work harder so you can catch up.  Clear your to-do list.  If you don't do it now, it can never be done. You don't want to miss out.  That's not enough. Do more!

Do any of these sound familiar?  These are some of the verses to the tune that has been playing in my head for as long as I can remember.  There are times when I am able to ignore it and other times I feel like I am a helpless victim to this song stuck on repeat.

The pressure to perform and produce (hustle mindset) has wreaked havoc on my relationships and has taken a toll on my emotional, physical, and mental well-being.  Tune in as I share:

    • What has been at the root of my struggle with hustle mindset
    • The lies that have blinded me from the truth
    • The two questions that have helped me to reflect and realign
    • The steps I am taking to overcome the pressure to perform and realign my mind to God's purpose for my life

It is possible to live free in this hustle-driven, performance-focused society.  We don't have to earn rest. We can fully embrace the rest God has prepared for us.

  • Change: Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable with Leslie Limardo

We all want change but true change and growth is uncomfortable.  I don't know about you but I don't like being uncomfortable. The very thought activates my sweat glands, causes the hair on the back of my neck to stand up, and my first reaction is to run in the opposite direction.  My friend, Leslie Limardo, is with us today to talk about how we can start leaning into the discomfort that change requires. We also chat about:

    • Why we need to let go of what we used to do and who we used to be

    • The cost of being overambitious and super driven
    • How to combat the lies with the word of God
    • How to look at our stories through the eyes of compassion

It is the end of the first quarter of 2022.  If you are struggling with your goals, I want you to lean all the way into what Leslie has to share. If you apply the tools and strategies she is sharing, they will put you right back on track to accomplish what you have set out to do this year.

  • Why Our Why Matters More Than Our What

If it seems like good motives and wrong motives get us to the same place then why is it important for us to examine our motives?

In this episode, I am diving into a topic that can be a bit tangly: our motives and why they matter.  There was a season in my life where I was driven by ambition, busy over-achieving, and had an insatiable desire to prove my worth.  Yes, I was accomplishing goals but my "why" almost caused me to lose what mattered most. I learned that wrong motives can get us to a place but they will not sustain us.

In this episode, I share the importance of examining our hidden motives, how they will eventually come to the surface, and what we can do to ensure that we are driven by the right motives.
