We know life isn't without difficulties. But the world is not our final home. In this Sunday episode, discover how to let the Bible be your guide in times of struggle. Listen in as Pastor Jonathan Laurie reveals three ways to overcome discouragement from the life of the apostle Paul.
Notes
Paul was a man of conviction and character; he was in submission to his Lord Jesus.
Paul was the right man for the job.
Paul had grit. He was unwavering.
How to overcome discouragement:
God’s revealed will is found in scripture:
It is not if we will suffer, but when we will suffer.
It is also what we will do with our sufferings.
The greatest thing we can do with our suffering is to use it for God’s glory.
Paul served people because Jesus laid that foundation.
Paul went from a persecutor of the church to being persecuted for the church.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11)
