When I first started in the coaching industry, I was trying to figure out what I needed to do to become successful. That’s the most common question I get, honestly. 

I feel that there are a few keys to success. 

1. Develop a morning and evening routine that works for you. You don’t have to follow any guru’s schedule, but you should have some sort of power-up routine before you get to work.
2. Form a sales habit. When are you asking for the sale?
3. Evaluate your mindset rituals. Are they getting in the way of actually running your business?
4. Establish a coaching routine, as in a way to recharge yourself after doing all that work with your clients. Helping clients process things and holding space for them still takes a toll on you.
5. The 60-minute marketing method, what I also call the Galaxy Content System as I’ve outlined in Episode 9.
6. Evaluate your learning habits. Are you learning things and innovating?
7. Look at your money on a regular basis. Know what’s coming in and going out so that you’re able to make better decisions.
8. Fun habits! Having fun and having a full life is a habit that takes work to establish.
9. Prioritize family time like date nights.

This topic can be quite controversial. I do love strategies and processes, but the deeper I go into discussions with family, friends, and clients, the more fascinated I become with the “woo” side.

There are lots of different programs, modalities, and certifications we can use to discover ourselves. The problem with certifications is that most of the time, there isn’t a clear pathway to getting results for your clients.

What you can do with these tools is use them to build a better framework for your clients. What is the result? Positive or negative, we need measurable data to track. 

As a coach, it’s your job to challenge your clients’ expectations and sometimes, that means you have to point out things that they don’t want to see. Checking in with clients isn’t the same as catching up with your BFF. It will probably be uncomfortable, but you can use different tools to help mitigate the harshness and help them deal with their emotions.

What energy are you putting out there, and what is coming back to you? What does your intuition say? If you are outcome focused, your clients will be too.

Whether you’re a fan of her or not, you have to admit that she’s built an empire. Think about what you’re willing to do for someone you truly loved. What superstars would you follow to the ends of the earth?

This podcast launch is called “Alisa Does Lemonade” because of how impressed I was with Beyoncé’s combination of music, storytelling, and video when she released Lemonade. Where can you zig when others zag? Where can you stand out in your market? I’m not expecting you to copy a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign, but there is a special kind of magic in binge-able content.

It’s easy to forget the kind of impact that we make on our clients. It’s amazing when they have success, and it was them that did the implementation work to make that happen, but don’t forget that it was you that facilitated that change. There’s always something you can take from a different industry and you’re only failing if you stop trying.

First, I’ll talk about the top mistakes I see coaches make in their content creation. 

1. Not being super clear on the purpose of that content. Maybe we’re not clear on the reason for the post, or it’s not formatted to be effective in the platform it’s on.
2. Not actively building your audience. What is the reason people should follow you? 
3. Trying to be everything to everyone. 
4. Asking hard questions. Who honestly wants to answer those? By all means, build connections and have conversations, but hold back on the deep trauma.
5. Being a teacher instead of a marketer. Every piece of content is a piece of marketing. 

The Galaxy Content System came from me not showing up consistently. Your “North Star” is your core piece of long form content. Create your “Supernovas” from your North Star. Your quotes and snippets are your “Stardust” content. Try it now on a live you did recently and see how much great related content you can create so that your soulmate clients can “binge” you!

In this episode, I’ll be breaking down the main ingredients you need to create a “Freedom Offer.” A freedom offer is one that has a very specific process, outcome, and one you can scale. That means that building a bunch of different offers all at once isn’t going to work for you.

When we look at offer creation, we need to get much more specific. 

1. What is the tangible result they will have from working with you?
2. How much money are they missing out on by not getting that result? What is your offer worth, and what’s the consequence of letting your clients stay where they are?
3. What’s the name of the offer, and can we make it very specific and outcome-oriented?

The marketing never stops. Even after someone has signed with you, you still need to re-enroll them in the vision to make sure they get everything they can out of your work together.

During a program launch a couple of years back, I found myself looking at what essential pillars there are to every business. People tend to follow certain similar brands because they find something they like there. Maybe it’s the colors, the copy, or the way the coaches speak.

How are you presenting yourself as a coach? Do you have a message? Do you have a position? Do you have a distinctive visual identity or does it blend in with the crowd?

You already have what you need to be a standout coach. Maybe it just needs to be honed a little bit to really showcase your personality.

The Brand DNA concept has 3 pillars:

1. Visual identity - imagery, colors, fonts
2. Copy - tone, voice, words
3. Your Kingdom processes - your offers, your messaging, your positioning, your vision, your purpose

It’s okay for all of these things to grow and evolve over time. For example, I never used to get political in my business, but I’m Ukrainian and I have decided that it’s important to me to help the displaced people in my home country, so I’ve added some fundraising into my business.
