A position player pitched against some of the best hitters in baseball, and many criticized the fact that they scored 6 runs against him. Thing is, that's exactly what this sport demanded from them.

Today on the 5: I just finished reading Annihilation: A Novel, the first book in the Southern Reach trilogy. This is a rare case where I saw the movie before reading the book, but that strangely had no influence on how the book worked for me.

Today on the 5: As both a backer of the Indiegogo campaign an a subscriber to Len Kabasinksi's Patreon, I got early access to watch his latest film. It's called Pact Of Vengeance, and it's a highly successful love letter to classic 80s action films.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a movie called Aniara that will be a tricky movie for me to review. On the one hand, I found it to be a well made and effective film. On the other, it is extraordinarily depressing.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I took the time to watch a fan edit of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series called Obi-Wan Kenobi The Movie: Episode III.V. I was curious to see if this edit could manage to improve what has sounded like a pretty bloated and uneven series. Once again, my faith in fan editors was rewarded!
