Today on the 5: Bookshop.org is adding ebooks to their online store. I already liked that this store existed as an alternative to Amazon, but this is a great addition that should being in new customers. 

Today on the 5: I've talked about how much I adored the Pebble smartwatch. After the Pebble IP was acquired by Google, that seemed to be the last we'd ever hear of the device. You can imagine how genuinely thrilled I was to read it may be coming back!

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I came across a movie that has an interesting angle in being a blend of a giallo and a spy thriller. The title of the movie is Dagger Eyes, and it managed to merge two styles I didn't think would work well together in a really fun way.

Today on the 5: I happened to come across a pair of Aftermath and Creative Bloq articles about the highly repetitive influence of AI slop. I've talked about the YouTube issue before, and I've absolutely seen the degradation effect in the stock sites I use.

Today on the 5: I came across this piece on Vox about severing social relationships within a few days of Ant Pruitt talking about similar things on his Patreon. I think they both make very valid points onm when to cut people out of your life.

Today on the 5: I finished watching the newest Star Wars streaming series Skeleton Crew. The biggest problem I've had with Star Wars in recent years is the inability fior new shows to break away from the legacy material. That became a concern as this series got further along, and I really wasn't sure it would manage to avoid giving in to that temptation.

Today on the 5: Last week the world lost a unique and wonderful artistic voice when David Lynch died. I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about why this loss hit me harder than the typical celebrity death.
