Today on the 5: I've been keeping an eye on the reception for the recently released sequel to 1987's Street Trash, also annoyingly titled Street Trash. Modern sequels often feel like souless cash grabs at name recognition, but I'm happy to say this is a welcome exception to that rule!

Today on the 5: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Generations, a short film was released this week titled 765874 - Unification. I watched it without really knowing what it was, and it was both a wonderful last journey with characters I grew up with and a stunning demonstration of de-aging technology.

Today on the 5: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Half-Life 2, a new documentary was released covering the making of the game. It's absolutely fantastic, but some of the information from it seems...misleading.

Today on the 5: Thanks to a listener recommendation, I watched a 1997 spy thriller titled The Assignment. I enjoyed it quite a bit more than the other film of that year centered around the same idea, although the opening 10 minutes or so are a bit deceptive in terms of how the rest of the movie operates.
