Today on the 5: Over the weekend I was wandering through the Shudder streaming service and came across a 2019 film titled Dogs Don't Wear Pants. It sounded interesting, and it turned out to be one of the more fascinating romance films I've ever seen.

Today on the 5: After watching the latest video from Brian Quarfoth about making a followup to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, I thought back to a discussion Lando and I had about this exact topic. I largely agree with everyhing Brian said in his video, the only difference being I'd structure a prequel as a streaming series.

Today on the 5: I've been trying to read the experimental novel House Of Leaves for a while now, but it's been a struggle. Last week I saw the book laying on the shelf and I thought I should get back to reading it, but almost immediately after that thought I realized I never would.

Today on the 5: Friend of the show Ant Pruitt recently asked me how I find some of the weird and lesser known films that I review. I may have talked about the odd avenues I check for these gems, but it was probably a while back so I figured why not do an updated version.

Today on the 5: Thanks to the book club over at Twit.tv, I recently read a 2024 novel titled Service Model. For most of the book I was having a good time, but then I got to the ending and it blew me away. 

Today on the 5: I saw a lot of angry reaction last week to some comments made by a pair of execs at Adobe about AI and artists. While I think one particular statement made was pretty brainless, overall I think the statemnets and overall approach from Adobe has been pretty good.

Today on the 5: If you've followed the journey of No Man's Sky over the years, you know it's often cited as the rare example of a game that launched to mixed reviews and has slowly rebuilt itself into a better experience. I've made a point to go back to the game several times over the years, but ironically the very updates that have redeemed the game are holding me back.
