Today on the 5: YouTube has recently announced that they will be adding AI tools for creators in the platform to provide inspiration and limited content. This news has me wondering what an already fairly homogenous platform will look like when creators are steered by a tool that will certainly relfect that lack of diversity.

Today on the 5: Apple has started running ads for their upcoming Apple Intelligence product. Based on the reaction my wife had to it, I think that Apple and the rest of these companies trying to sell the public on AI may have a long road ahead.

Today on the 5: I give Apple a hard time about a lot of things, and many them revolve around their bad design decisions. That said, I have to credit the company for disproving the rumors about eliminating all buttons from iPhones!

Today on the 5: As part of the most recent episode of Len Kabasinksi's Forgotten Movie Den, I watched a 1988 film titled Night Wars. Reading about it might lead you to think it's just another disposable low budget film from the time, but it's pretty clear there's some actual intent behind the movie.

Today on the 5: I've been hearing and reading good things about Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled In for a while now, so I was thrilled to see it hit VOD. I rented it for an absurdly good price, watched it, and now I'm ready to add my review to the others already gushing about it!

Today on the 5: In the most recent episode of AI Inside, Jason Howell and Jeff Jarvis covered a story about an upcoming beta from Audible that would allow audiobook narrators to create AI versions of themselves. These synthetic voice models could then be licensed by authors to read their books while compensating the narrators. This seems shockingly fair, especially coming from Amazon.

Today on the 5: I came across an opinion piece over on Polygon talking how Deadpool & Wolverine signals the end of experimentation in superhero films. While I agree with many of the points made in the piece, I'm not sure a lack of experimentation is the problem we cirrently have in superhero cinema.
