Today on the 5: I recently finished a book titled Orbital by Samantha Harvey. It's a fictional journey across 16 orbits of the ISS detailing the daily lives and internal stories of the astronauts onboard. It's an amazingly well written and interesting book, but it's defiinitely not for everyone.

Today on the 5: A recent report shows that people are watching YouTube on their TVs than their phones. This makes sense to me since the streaming platform has basically delivered the selective cable lineup that people have wanted for years.

Today on the 5: In rhe latest video over on the Jimquisition YouTube channel, Stephanie Sterling was lamnenting the latest example of leadership incompetence at a major video game publisher. That's par for the course, but at the end I heard what was likely a throwaway line that really struck a chord.

Today on the 5: I watched the final film in the Forgotten Gialli: Volume Seven boxset, 1987's Sweets From A Stranger. Like the other films in that set, it took the core elements of the giallo genre and did something new and interesting with it.

Today on the 5: As I talked about on the last show, I picked up the Forgotten Gialli: Volume Seven from Vinegar Syndrome after seeing and enjoying Dagger Eyes. I didn't realize it at the time, but I ended up with another collection of films that provided fantastic new angles on a genre I already loved.

Today on the 5: I've been largely disinterested in anything from either Marvel or DC in the last few years, and that included Captain America: Brave New World. That's changed a bit after reading some recent comments from actor Anthony Mackie on the approach he's taking with the character.

Today on the 5: Lando and I hjave startted playing the latest entry in the Sniper Elite series, Sniper Elite: Resistance. You'll find many reviews of the game complain that it hasn't made any significant changes from the last Sniper Elite game. For us, that's the biggest selling point of the game!

Today on the 5: I picked up the Forgotten Gialli: Volume Seven boxset from Vinegar Syndrome based on how much I enjoyed Dagger Eyes. The second film in the set is titled Obsession: A Taste For Fear, and it aims to be a sort of cyberpunk giallo film. Whatrever it is, it's hard to take your eyes off it!
