Today on the 5: You probably saw at least a few stories about Beeper Mini, the latest attempt to solve the iMessage problem for Android users. While it sounds much more secure than Nothing Chats, I'm still not sure why anyone would use it or pay for it. 

Today on the 5: Completely by accident, it turns out I watched the first and last movies that writer/director Matthew Bright was involved in. On paper, Tiptoes doesn't seem like it would be a stranger film than Forbidden Zone is, but then you watch it and...wow. 

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a movie I've heard of for a while now, 1980s bonkers musical Forbidden Zone. After finishing one of the more off the wall movies I've seen in a bit, I thought this was probably the oddest thing that this writer likely ever did. I was wrong, but that will have to wait for tomorrow. Right now, let's talk about Frenchy and her adventures in rthe Sixth Dimension.

Today on the 5: One of the topics that came up on a recent episode of This Week in Tech revolved around the implosion of Twitter and the struggle for other networks to replace. One aspect of that discussion centered on building a community and the work involved in doing that. I found it surprising that some of the hosts seemed unwilling to try to recreate what they said they valued most about Twitter.

Today on the 5: Both Chris Stuckmann and Patrick (H) Willems recently made videos were they expressed deep concerns about the future of films. While both individuals make really good points about the current state of movies, I don't think movies are in nearly as much trouble as they seem to.

Today on the 5: Lando and I have talked about the incredible game Baldur's Gate 3 many times on our longer shows, and for good reason. One aspect of my approach to it is very different than his, and that's my reluctance to look outside of the game for strategies in how to play it.
