Today on the 5: I remember seeing the demo for the Humane AI Pin a while back, and like most "AI" products I had little interest. The Pin is now out, and I ended up watching Michael Fisher and David Pierce review the product. While their reviews largely ended in disappointment over the reality of using the device, listening to each of them express their hopes for what it could do got more inyterested in it than I expected to be.

Today on the 5: I recently watched a frankly excellent video by Patrick H Willems about Muppet Cinema. At one point in that video he talks about how the new Star Wars films partially went back to practical effects and puppetry, and it's soimething I have failed to credit them for.

Today on the 5: The new Fallout series comes out today over on Amazon. The discussion around the show reminded me of the divide between fans of the older style of games and the newer flavors. In the past, it seemed unlikely that there would be any way to satisfy both groups, but I'm wondering if that mindset might change in the wake of Baldur's Gate 3.

Today on the 5: I wasn't ever planning to watch Madame Web, as it sounded like a near disaster in almost every way. Turned out I needed to in prep for Friday's show, so I've now seen it and it is truly remarkable in how many poor decisions were made in constructing this film.
