Now that new defensive coordinator Joe Barry has had time to meet the players and work them out at practice (and start bringing in replacement pieces!) Gil and J.J. can better break down how this year's defense will compare to last year's, and which hot spots to keep an eye on.
The guys also get excited about this year's new throwback uniform and try to guess which one will debut. To see photos of the uniforms they think may be it and to vote on which one you'd like to see, click here: https://www.twitter.com/jjlahey

Mandatory minicamp is over, and training camp doesn't begin for another 40 days, so now... we wait. J.J. and Gil don't take breaks though, instead they break down expectations for the Packers this year. From linebackers to running backs to the coaching staff, the guys highlight the team's strengths and weaknesses and figure out what their identity will be.
They also debate which veteran player they feel is the most likely to lose his job this year to a younger player. Gil argues it's Preston Smith, J.J. thinks Hunter Bradley is more likely. What do you think? Weigh in and cast your vote here: https://www.twitter.com/jjlahey

After a very successful minicamp that featured many players looking sharp and achieving new heights, Packer fans received disappointing news that TE Jace Sternberger has been suspended for the first 2 games of the season. Gil and J.J. discuss, then share what they believe are the top 5 things the team must do to win a Super Bowl in the 2021-2022 season.
The guys also debate which free agent signing in 2019 was the best, and of course there are great ones to choose from. Ultimately they pass over Billy Turner and Preston Smith and butt heads over which of Za'Darius Smith and Adrian Amos had the bigger impact on the team. As OTAs finally began this week, potentially dark clouds swirled around Green Bay, Wisconsin as questions loomed about Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers potentially holding out. Gil and J.J. found plenty to discuss in the players who are on-site though! Position coaches weighed in on their new position groups while new job openings were filled by vets and rookies alike.
The guys also got the chance to talk about the importance of the star position on defense and asked the question "who's the best guy for the job?" Forget "strength of schedule", those rankings based on last year's win/loss columns are garbage and we all know it. Sharp Football provides better stats to help understand what truly makes a difficult schedule; Gil and J.J. dive into the numbers and break down exactly what the NFC North is facing this year. (Spoiler alert, it's a tough schedule.)
They also pick apart a proposed compromise by Andrew Brandt between the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, could the hypothetical deal actually solve this broken marriage?
Finally, the guys name players they feel are big bounce-back candidates this year and pick two they're particularly excited about. Who do you want to see bounce back? Listen to their explanations, then vote for one you're most excited about here: https://www.twitter.com/jjlahey
