The A’s hammered Dylan Cease, tagging him with career-worst 9 earned runs in 4 innings after the Padres staked him to a 3-0 1st inning lead- to beat the Padres 10-4 on Tuesday night.
 

JJ Bleday, who also homered in the game, and Gio Urshela had 3 RBI each for the Athletics. Oakland’s 5-6-7-8 hitters- Bleday, Miguel Andujar, Jacob Wilson and Ursela- went 8-15 with 7 RBI.
 

The win was the 1st one in 5 games at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, their home for the next 3 seasons before they move to Las Vegas.
 

Cease (1-1) gave up 6 runs with 2 outs in the 1st and allowed 9 runs on 9 hits while walking 3 just 4 innings.
 

Manny Machado went deep for the 1st time this season to make it 1-0 in the 1st. Yuli Gurriel added an RBI double.

Pads’ Left fielder Oscar Gonzalez let Jacob Wilson’s single roll past him for a 2-run error in the 4th inning.

Fernando Tatis Jr., and Jake Cronenworth each  left the game early tonight after hurting themselves while swinging the bat. Cronenworth came out of the game in the 3rd inning and Tatis left in the 5th.
 

Tatis had left shoulder pain from a slide and Cronenworth had cramps from a rib injury, manager Mike Shildt said.
 

The Pads had already placed star CF Jackson Merrill on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain before the game.
 

The Padres had beaten the A’s 8 straight times- including last night- before tonight’s game
