Page Gardner is the founder and board chair of Voter Participation Center and its partner organization founder, the Center for Voter Information. The Voter Participation Center has helped 4.6 million voters register and get to the polls.
Page Gardner was a pioneer in recognizing unmarried women as a key political voting bloc with significant and impactful political power. We discuss what's called the “marriage gap” between unmarried and married women, in relation to their registration habits and voting behaviors.
We also discuss income gap for unmarried women, in the context of the coronavirus outbreak, given that unmarried women generally have less financial stability when compared to married women and will undoubtedly be hit harder by the economic fallout following the pandemic.
