Before we get into today’s episode, I have one workshop I want to share with you. I’m facilitating a vision board workshop at The Hive in South Pasadena, California on Sunday November 3rd from 1-3pm. If you’ve written off 2024 and want to focus on 2025, join us! If you haven’t created your board for 2024, you’ve still got a little time. Join us. Details below.
My guest Kahlea Wade and I recorded this episode over the summer. We talk about the Florida beaches, happy times, and I want to take a moment to recognize that at the time of this episode publication, hurricane Milton is here. My heart goes out to everyone that’s being impacted, and I’m praying for the storm to quickly pass.
This week’s guest is wise beyond her young years. She’s not even 30. Let me share more about Kahlea. Kahlea is a Creator Economy and Influencer Marketing Expert with 9 years of experience in the industry. In addition to being a creator herself, she's worked with creators to help them secure over $1,000,000 in brand partnerships. In 2022, she launched a talent agency called Alora Society, which facilitates mutually beneficial partnerships between brands and creators. Through Alora, creators have partnered with renowned brands like Meta, Nike, Amazon Prime, Skims, Michael Kors, Tresemmé, and more.
We got into so many juicy topics like building a successful online presence as creators; being multi-passionate; in a world where it’s always about “the next fill-in-the-blank” Kahlea says, be the next YOU; and where to begin if you’re interested in brand partnerships. Kahlea is bright, energetic, and so wise beyond her years. Let’s dive into my conversation with Kahlea.

Can you remember a time when your voice was stifled? When your dreams were smothered by expectations? Maybe you felt alone and trapped, too. I spent years conforming, trying to fit into a mold that wasn't made for me. This episode mirrors a recent newsletter I sent out to my e-community. (Maybe you saw it?) I felt a nudge to share it out with more people because I know there’s more people out there who don’t feel comfortable in their own skin. I think before we can achieve the things we want to achieve, we first get to be comfortable with who.we.are…
I’ve spent a lifetime getting comfortable! And I’m still a work in progress. You’ll hear a little bit about the environment I grew up in. This episode is a very personal one! I hope you enjoy it.

There are people you meet that you instantly connect with. Kathy is one of those people. We talked about leaving a small town, following dreams and visions. One of her ideas was to start a magazine for independent women podcasters. If you’re a woman podcaster, you’ll want to hear this episode. Her magazine has covered topics like podcast shaming, fear of speaking (which was something I had big time), and how to monetize without advertising.
About Kathy: Kathy Barron is the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Women Who Podcast magazine. Her vision is to is give independent women podcasters the accolades they deserve and build a supportive community for podcasters to evolve and succeed. Kathy also loves to cut digital film, ride her e-bike around town, and being in and on the water.

I’ve got another great interview for you today with Chef Whitney Aronoff. We dive into 4 areas which need our daily nourishment: physical, emotional, spiritual and mental.

Chef Whitney believes ‘the healthiest meal you can eat is the one you make at home’. She learned to heal her gut & energy issues with food. She graduated culinary school from The Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC.
