Upon San Francisco Mayor London Breed's return from China, she heralded the arrival of a pair of new pandas destined for the San Francisco Zoo.

While this marks the first appearance of pandas at the San Francisco Zoo since 1985, it's not the city's inaugural encounter with these beloved creatures. Previously, a group of pandas made a notable stopover at the St. Francis Hotel.
