On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Nich Fairbanks(@Prudentia0) for another edition of Fairbanks Friday. The two break down the Panthers 5-4 OT loss at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers, where the Panthers blew a 3-0 lead after the first period. Florida chased Stuart Skinner and once Calvin Pickard was between the pipes, the Oilers turned it on from there and flipped the script. Three goals in the second period by Edmonton, and it was a new hockey game. The Oilers continued their scoring in the third as they even took the lead, but the Cats scored with the extra attacker with 20 seconds left in the third to force overtime, but although the Panthers controlled play in the extra period, a little miscommunication from the long change resulted in the Oilers going up the ice and Leon Draisaitl ending it for his third goal of the series. Matthew Tkachuk scored his first power play goal(s) since round one, but the Panthers couldn't continues on their pressure on the forecheck after period one, and Edmonton's speed game helped them generating a whole bunch on Sergei Bobrovsky. Should the Panthers still be favored going into the rest of the series, despite home-ice once again being taken away?
