  • Soft Launch: Preparing to Launch
Last night, Pastor Chad kicked off our new series “Soft Launch,” focused on dating in 2025.
He reminded us that preparing for relationships starts long before we meet someone. We need to be intentional about getting ourselves ready to date and eventually start a family.
    Here’s how:
    1. Grow biblically
    2. Live sacrificially
    3. Assume responsibility
We also need clarity on what we’re looking for—alignment in faith, family values, and a shared vision for the future.
The Bible gives us a framework for recognizing a godly spouse, especially through passages like John 29 and Proverbs 31.
We were encouraged not to rush into dating. Take time to really get to know someone—talk to their friends, observe their character, and seek God’s wisdom.
And most importantly, stay open to what the Lord may bring. Be willing to make or take the offer when the time is right.
This is about launching with purpose, not pressure.

  • Rest On Us: Spiritual Warfare
Pastor Phil continued our “Rest on Us” series with a powerful and timely message on spiritual warfare.
As children of God, it’s essential that we recognize both who we are fighting against and how to prepare for the battle. Spiritual warfare is real—just as real as the physical world we live in. Every day, we are engaged in a battle that isn’t visible to the natural eye but has very real consequences.
If we don’t understand our adversary, we risk being overcome. That’s why awareness and preparation are vital. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us of the true nature of our struggle:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Satan is a master of deception. He knows how to plant seeds of doubt in our minds, twist the truth, and build arguments that subtly turn us away from God. His attacks often come in the form of mental and emotional warfare—aimed at discouraging us, confusing us, and making us question our identity in Christ.
    But we are not powerless.
Through God’s Word, we learn to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Instead of being ruled by our feelings, we are called to stand on godly truth—truth that doesn’t shift with emotion or circumstance.
The blood of Jesus has broken the chains of sin and shame. We are no longer captives. Satan wants us to forget that—weakened, distracted, and bound by lies. But God calls us to remember who we are and to walk daily in the freedom He has already secured for us.

  • Rest On Us: The Holy Spirit Gives Gifts
The Holy Spirit isn’t just with us—He equips us!
Last night we were reminded by Pastor Chad to:
1️⃣ Discover your gift – God has already called and equipped you (Romans 11:29).
2️⃣ Develop it – Surrender it back to Him and grow in it (Romans 12:1-2).
3️⃣ Deploy it – Use it not for yourself but to glorify God (Romans 12:3-8).
🎁 Your gift isn’t about you—it’s about Him.
Steward it well. Stay dependent. And never forget the greatest gift of all: Jesus.

  • Rest On Us: How to be filled with the Holy Spirit
Last night, Pastor Chad led us through week two of our new series, “Rest on Us.”
In week one, we explored who the Holy Spirit is. This week, we focused on what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
It’s important to remember that the Christian life isn’t about striving to earn God’s approval, but about surrendering to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to work in and through us. Instead of relying on our own strength, we are called to walk in step with the Spirit.
We can’t please God when we live according to the flesh. Some of the ways we resist the Spirit include quenching, rejecting, or grieving Him. When we quench or reject the Spirit, we extinguish His flame and harden our hearts toward Him. We grieve the Spirit when we choose sin and return to the ways of death.
To be filled with the Holy Spirit, we must be led and controlled by Him. This isn’t a one-time event—it’s a daily act of surrender, asking God to fill us afresh with His Spirit.

Pastor Jon wrapped up our Proverbs series by taking a deep dive into Proverbs 29 to see how the Bible challenges us on how to be wise and Godly leaders!
Based on chapter 29, here are some questions to consider if you're asking yourself "Am I a leader?":
    1. Do You Listen?
    2. Do Watch Your Words?
    3. Do You Quarrel When You Should Make Peace?
    4. Do You Crave Influence Over Integrity?
    5. Do You Lead With Vision?

  • Proverbs: Wisdom and Alcohol
Pastor Chad came with a great message last night preaching on Proverbs 23 about alcohol — not just the bottle, but the battle behind it.
    5 Warnings We Can’t Ignore:
    1. It can cause problems – What are you lingering around?
    2. It looks good… at first – It may sparkle, but it bites.
    3. It poisons – Some of us know the sting too well.
    4. It impairs – Convictions get blurry when you’re not sober.
    5. It consumes – “You don’t know what you’re willing to risk for the bottle.”
Drunkenness is the sin, not the sip — but wisdom is knowing where the line is.
If you’re struggling in your relationship with alcohol don’t be afraid to seek the resources you need!

  • Proverbs: Getting Wisdom
Last night, Pastor Chad began week two of our sermon series on Proverbs by delving into the topic of wisdom.
Proverbs, recognized as one of the wisdom books in the Bible, describes wisdom in chapter eight as “better than rubies.”
So, what exactly is wisdom? Wisdom is the skill of navigating life with understanding, recognizing that all aspects of life are interconnected. It equips us to successfully navigate challenges and make decisions with insight. Wisdom goes beyond knowing right from wrong; it is the strength and resolve to do what is right, even when it’s difficult.
God desires for us to walk in His wisdom and live a life of purpose and success. We can gain wisdom by seeking counsel from our elders, immersing ourselves in His Word, and, most importantly, cultivating a vibrant relationship with Jesus.

  • Proverbs: Don't be a fool
With a new month of Paradigm comes a new series 🥳 And what better way to kick off a new series titled “Proverbs: Don’t Be a Fool” than on April Fool’s Day?
Last night, Pastor Chad asked us, “What kind of fool are you?”
First, we need to figure out what the Bible considers a fool. It’s not just a derogatory term; it’s more of a diagnosis. According to Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
We know that a fool is someone living their life disconnected, which means a) they deny that God is the creator (Proverbs 8:27-31) and b) they deny the problem of sin (Proverbs 16:25).
When we’re trying to figure out where we can gain more wisdom in our lives, we don’t want to be the kind of fool who is simple and believes everything he hears (Proverbs 14:15). Are we easily influenced, or do we think critically?
We also don’t want to be the scorner who believes he’s always right (Proverbs 15:12) or hates knowledge (Proverbs 13:20). Are we able to accept biblical correction, and do we listen when the Lord convicts us?
Most importantly, we must remember that we can all be fools in one way or another, and the Bible helps us acknowledge that. But it wasn’t written solely for us to learn how NOT to be fools; it was written for us to understand that we must admit to God our foolishness and that we need Him to save us from it. 🕊️
