Document what we see

Obscure what’s possible

Misdirect from what we know

Sounds like a sound strategy when engaging in passive observation of a weird world of conspiracy theorists and UFO trackers just outside your grasp. But what happens when there’s a more immediate threat inviting you to come closer and closer to it. For Agent McAndrews, that means throwing out the rulebook of Department Protocols to get a closer look..

But just how do you sneak up on a psychic?

When we last left our players, Alister and Saint had both gone down separate rabbit holes in order to get more information on Dr. Springwood and the odd group of people that surround him. While the sun sets on Roswell, New Mexico and the Symposium of the Strange winds down for the evening, our two investigators reunite to discuss the web of intrigue they finds themselves in.

It seems Dr. Springwood is in town for more than just to sell books, but the mystery surrounding him and his multi-millionaire contact McKenzie Roberts doesn’t seem any clearer. Alister talks with Agents Cyan and Magenta for information from Springwood’s laptop, while Saint puts his ear to the ground, and his exorcist group chat, for information on Mrs. Roberts.

Picture if you will, One Dr. Julian Springwood. A mysterious man who advertises himself to the world as a healer, scholar and a motivational speaker. Saint and Alister’s encounters with and research into this man has revealed a little more than he’s initially let on. The son of a cultist and sound engineer, a charlatan and seemingly, a psychic of alarming ability. Is Dr. Springwood just that good at reading people, or is there something far more invasive at play? Saint and Alister are about to find out.

Agent Grey is a man in the business of secrets. He keeps secrets for other people, he prevents secrets from escaping and he makes it his business to investigate the secrets of others. For somebody who keeps as tight a focus on his subordinates as Agent Grey does, it should be no surprise that he already knows Alister’s greatest secret before he’s ready to admit it.

But Saint and Alister both have investigated enough charlatans to know that not everything is what it seems, especially when they’re performing for others. Especially when they have something to sell.

Still, his song and dance routine leaves some questions floating in the air - like how did he access government secrets.
